how do i play ra2

seriously

i have forgotten how to build anything even remotely decent

Tfw Theredblur can build a better robot than you.

In all seriousness, this robot needs something more stable than just massive extenders that would break off in minutes against anything decent. Perhaps something like attaching snow plows would look (and work) better?

Please wait until either:

1. You get tournament results

2. You are a highly respected member

...before you trash talk other members.

Anyways the weapon motor hasn't got much HP if Ironforge is anything like DSL lol, try something sturdier around the same weight range

those ramplates suck hard in this game unfortunately. If you want something maybe a little challenging to try and do to protect your wheels, perhaps try using steel skirts and axle loading your wheels so your wheels are partially covered by them. I can't produce an illustration right now but hopefully you might get the idea, at least if you check up on how to axle load and its uses.

also the former setup with the 132s is a lot better simply because 132s have loads of hitpoints and 80s have very few.

tbf dexterhunter and frezal are vets and they're mostly known for just being old. MNB is already AU tho so idk about him becoming a vet
Dexterhunter is AU.

MNB was AU back when I joined in 2009...
yeah but he's likely to stay AU if he became AU in the first place

Protip: you (usually) have to make a decent-sized contribution to RA2 in order to get vet.

Madman might become vet eventually, but I doubt HA or MNB would.
I'll probably do a tournament purely for the selfish reason of getting a cool purple banner over my name sometime around christmas.

That's not how Vet used to work. I could see that with AU. I suggest looking up the definition of the word Veteran.

wow what a time we live in where naryar defends me from the unstoppable legions of people who don't recognize me, the current best dsl player ( ;) ;) ;) ;))

Anyway I was always taught by my elders such as the might Ounce and the less mighty but louder Naryar that was how you did the chassis flattening but I guess we're just kinda old
more like only current dsl player  :p
hey even if it's by default I'll take it man

You can attach those Perms externally using multiextenders, which would be lighter. Perms also have a lot of hitpoints so don't worry about them getting beat up especially

If you go the chassis height selection, and move the slider all the way to the top, and then click once at the very bottom, you should get a lower chassis height than you would normally. Additionally, you can BFE your bot to have a lower chassis if you want, but this makes your bots illegal in tournament.

popups are this weird entity where you want as simplistic a setup as possible and normally a kinda large chassis for width and stability's sake.

Main issue besides the steep wedge for this one is the bevels at the front that are going to get your bot too easily battered by a HS. But I guess it's mostly a chassis space-practice build so that doesn't necessarily matter.
