I would recommend some sort of 'flag' on the machine that either comes through the centre of the shell or is mounted to the top of the shell. Preferably the first, using CF you could put an anchor where the mag axle is and then mount a static 'flag' to the top. This can be used to both point in the direction of travel (useful if you're driving it) and as a self righting aid.

You could possibly afford better weaponry or drive if you weaken the armour a bit. With a shell spinner, if anything is hitting your chassis then the shell isn't working oh so well. If you get what I mean.
