YES! :D Shame about the CF extenders but honestly the panels are worth it in my opinion.

Download the version you want (NerdCubed played DSL 2.1) and then extract the files from the .Rar file using WinRar :)

I personally think you should start with IRL designing style, since it's more simple and easier to master, plus it looks cooler.
Don't give advice to what people should do, it's their choice. If you choose IRL, that's fine, but let people do what they want. Besides I'd argue my latest SHW looks cooler than most IRL stuff.

I was directed to this game by Nerdcubed too, and think this looks an awesome game. I am currently attempting to buy the game, with not much luck, anyone know where to buy it? The official website is broken... The Nerdcubed video will hopefully bring roboteering gaming back to life, which will be good :)
Can't wait to enter my first tournament...
It's impossible to buy it now - just download the version you want from here https://gametechmods.com/forums/index.php?topic=15740.0

Something like War Hog. Alternatively, something Standard

The issue is, this is a BIG mod, and would require an ungodly amount of work (something I didn't note when we were starting this project 4 years ago), and if you look at the first post... most of those contributors hardly ever visit the forum, and those that do may not be interested (I know I suck at replicas so I couldn't continue). What I personally would suggest to you is build up a big pack of awesome looking replicas, and then create your own AI Pack/mod. Usually I'd tell people not to do this but usually people just want to make their ordinary bots into a pack nobody would download, whereas most people like replicas. So yeah, if I were you, keep building, then maybe learn how to AI those bots and create your own awesome replica pack :)

Not sure why I was IP banned for a day, but thanks to Trov for fixing it so quickly. Does anyone know what caused it?
From what I can tell, Trov was trying to permaban TRiaS, who has used a LOT of different IPs, and he set his range too high and accidentally caught you and Elementos in the crossfire.

This is where some perfectly sized Plexi panels would look AWESOME :') but yeah, understandably, very difficult.

I doubt we'll slow that much, we've done alright in the past when hundreds of 4chaners have poured upon us, but we do hope that some of you guys really enjoy it and stick around, it does get a little crazy how small and imposing it is to new people but we're really not that bad. As for the TV/Game developers... eh. There's a few indie developments on the game side of things, like our own Sic's Scrapmatch, and as for TV if anyone's chasing that up it'll be the guys running the Robot Wars live events. Us lot? We're just loyal to the hobby and the game. Enjoy the community :)

Yep, this is a well documented crash. There used to be a fix around but I'm not sure where it is - 95% of people here don't play tournament mode. Unless someone has the fix, you'll just have to forfeit those events.

IRL is what Nerd3 did.
Arguably - lack of axle supports. Besides, it's probably better to just leave everyone to do what they want without worrying about classing it, but to clarify your statement, IRL is making robots that could easily exist in real life, including supports for spinner axles, etc.

Unfortunately in most cases you just have to deal with the crashes and forfeit those events. I believe there used to be a fix for Blade tournament crashing but I have no idea where it is. Tournament mode is fun, you just have to remember how old and decrepit this game is :P

If even one of them gets past 100 posts, I'll post my n00dz. It won't happen.
Dont Think we would want to see them anyway :P
This. :P If I could add something to the top post, Nerd Cubed was using the DSL mod, which many people find intimidating when they're just starting out. "Stock" is the easiest version, and a great way to get a feel for the game with no pressure. I highly recommend starting there and taking steps up as you find yourself needing more as a challenge.
And also this. Remember it's not wrong to ask questions, so always feel free to drop a message, or a question in the Tech Help board, but before posting your issue I would recommend using the search bar to see if it's already been resolved before :)

I have 2 teams on there, the more recent Tyrannicide, and the much less notable Nom. Pretty sure both had an incarnation of Blood Orange in, but Tyrannicide is for sure my favourite of the 2.

Was just playing around on a recent DSL copy and found this. Can't remember making it. Not particularly noteworthy, just a fair example of one of my LW VS. Pretty sure I shaved some weight off somewhere though, because of that armour, which is probably overkill. Apologies for the pink hammers, it's from that old axolotl thing. (Image removed from quote.)
Why do those hammers remind me of bubblegum? Anyway, I think there is a robot identical to that one in NAR AI.
Definitely not identical, but similar. I should know, I made the thing - Mikado II on the Ninja-y team, right?

Looks awesome as always - and I think your list of 'to-do' is pretty fair - I look forward to the mouse and a decent Bash as well :D

Is it actually crashing on startup or when you load the bots into the arena? Because when I was trying, like I told you, Cobra!'s Robot kept crashing the game no matter what the AI line.

I thought it might've already been done, but, I wanted to do it my way. Besides, what Marty said.
