Oh hey Click, really good to see you. Both DSL2.1 and 3 are both in usage quite a lot, I've personally been using WhamettNuht's new Robot Wars 2013 beta AI pack for DSL3 at least until something more official comes round - you should really check that pack out, he's got some excellent new replicas in there - you may want to collaborate, they're that good, as are the things we see HereticBlue pop up with every now and again. https://gametechmods.com/forums/index.php?topic=13673.0 (<- very large thread - you may be able to get some idea of the quality from Wham's Signature) https://gametechmods.com/forums/index.php?topic=15064.0 (<- HereticBlue's thread)

I think you're kinda asking for quite a lot, components from scratch aren't quick things to make. Consider trying alternatives - Leighbot can be flat for example, and Recyclopse, although it wouldn't look amazing, could have the dome made in the chassis builder. As for skinning wheels, I think they can be fairly complex? Maybe there is a tutorial somewhere.

I think the stand-alone versions have already been patched with this but if you are installing everything manually than you'll want to download this.
After applying Mad's fixes, I did a quick check for both the events and everything seemed to be working. Here is a fixed Events.txt.
If anyone is curious about what got changed, the linked thread includes an explanation.
Here :)

What's DSL-S
DSL Standard - the whole IRL/Standard split has become that big of a thing now :P

Yeah, I mean you can pass it off as IRL as in it COULD be done, but it's standard I'd say. Very nice looking Standard though, something the area lacks sometimes.

I agree with Sonny, at least try and AI the simpler ones, eg Robot the Bruce, just to get a hold of it. As for custom components, not many people here can create fully new components - the only few who are often doing it and showing it right now are HereticBlue and possibly Wham (ILT gets an honourable mention, they're just not fully new components :P - also 123 would be capable I imagine but not around too much). Also with speed, don't rush it. The whole thing will come together better if you take time over the replicas, and the replicas will be better themselves. Keep dropping updates every now and again to keep people's interest going and they will continue to help.

Looks pretty good to me. Are you running it with one immobilization gets the win or both? Also rulewise I know you put the etc but you might want to clarify just so people can't say they don't know what etc covers and intentionally submitting something that would violate your 'etc' :P

Right, you have a fair grasp already, I'll try help you advance. Beware long post.
Try using wheels that aren't Slipperbottoms - they aren't amazing, for the weight you can get the much grippier Hypno Wheels (which will touch the floor if you use the NPC Left/Right variants) In terms of power, generally use 1 ant motor per spin motor but then fully power any bursts as the description of them states, so you may need a little more. For the srimech, that motor is actually LESS powerful than the green burst and is heavier, so switch those out, but if you make your popup weapon larger and chassis smaller, you might be able to just use the popup weapon. This leads me to the weapon - you definitely need more. 1 razor is not sufficient on a LW popup let alone anything else, and spike strips, although awesome looking, have normals (and as such only do damage with 1 side - the tips) Your armour idea is good though, consider mounting some armour with a skirt hinge or something similar and using some of the skirt components down across the front. You can then hide your popup weapon inside the chassis and add MOAR RAZORS to it to increase the damage output. Your wedge is sufficient for your level (no offense :P) but if you want to improve it, Metal Hinges are generally seen as better wedge makers than skirt hinges.
Also, use img tags in your post, then the picture will pop up without having to click it :D

Awesome. Can't tell where the chassis is though, weird :P Also, that dual perm is just begging for a hammer :P

Try to build to the weight limit - for example on the 2nd one you could probably upgrade the sheet on top, also, personally I'd bring the armour on the first one down from Tite10 to have enough weight to switch the 2Mag weapon motor for a 4mag/Tornado Mer Gearbox. Finally, a little housekeeping, you can always edit your first post instead of double posting, especially if they're that close in time :P
EDIT: Also, what SHIELD said with the flippermakers. They're not as pretty but SO much more durable.

Yeah, take a load of ants out (1 for each spin motor is generally used) and use some NPC drive and you miiiight be able to upgrade that weapon motor to a 4-mag. EDIT: As for placement of the NPC's, try using the Left and Rights to almost interlock them, kinda like this (from above)

I'm really sorry to keep it hanging this long. You guys will be pleased to know I intend on retiring from running tournaments after this to concentrate on my duties as Tourney Mod. On that note, I have rejudged the first match, to the same outcome, with the victor coming out top on Damage and Aggression easily. Also, the rest of the heats have been posted either below or on the front page, with the front page also updated to show semi final matchups (these videos will come TONIGHT, along with the FINAL with results!) HEAT 2 Badnik96 vs Dragonsteincole vs Mazakari
HEAT 3 Sonny_Resetti vs Boombabyboom vs GoldenFox93
HEAT 4 Rob Collins vs Thyrus vs Qualifier Winner
