Just learn to either enter the test garage or exit the bot lab once in a while to save the bot file and most stuff like that is mainly avoided :)

Fortune is actually so cool. Buzzards are underused. Venum is just your ordinary Nightmare clone to me though, and definitely go with Guardian rather than Obituary - that thing so messy.

Okay, Tom - is this when you are battling them? If so, this is because their lines are missing from the bindings file, I believe this was fixed somewhere. If not I'll upload my updated bindings line

Kai - that's probably just RA2 being RA2.

The way axle wedges behave is more of a comparison to Biohazard's wedges if anything CAN be compared to them.

Looks good, liking the wedge rules. Hopefully I'll have some stuff ready for this :D

The start of Up was pretty sad.

BFE is becoming more common, I believe, and I think when used for unrealistic purposes it is easy to spot in a tournament, so personally I'd see no issue - I'm sure there's even a guide on here somewhere with the basics of BFE.
I've seen the basic tutorial, but it didn't help me AT ALL. :rage
I need a tutorial SPECIFICALLY on making irregular shapes in RA2.

What I was trying to say is I imagine there wouldn't be any backlash to Sonny providing this kind of tutorial, but honestly, with the original tutorial and some hard work/experimentation, you can get some cool cutoff wedges and wedges with no flat top.
For example, if you wanted a simple quadrilateral cutoff wedge like Robot the Bruce, you'd just slightly lower the height of 2 chassis points, and if you wanted a wedge with no flat top you just move the top points very close together.
Sonny of course will be miles better at explaining these things, my knowledge is astoundingly basic with BFE.

Looks better to me, maybe you could try adding some larger/extra drum axle supports just to give it a little more substance if you know what I mean? Like getting a diagonal one going down behind the one you currently have would look pretty good. You'd easily have the weight if you changed armour and, if you need to, take an ant out (and as per usual advice use the blue control board :D).

That's the thing, neither should happen, everyone no matter what their orientation or whatever are equal. The fact that it's gotten to the stage where people have to be praised for being themselves is sad (this is referring to society in general, not just whatever happens here).
Jonzu is brave and all, I'm not discounting that as I'm sure he understands, but he's just himself. :)

Wait, is Jonzu actually gay?
Just asking.
He's pansexual.
If that's the case, I'd have to commend Jonzu's willingnes to share that with the rest of the forum.
It's hard for people to reveal that kind of thing to others, so cheers to him!

I actually disagree with this post - someone shouldn't be treated differently in any way due to their sexual orientation - you don't see me being congratulated for being a straight guy :P

Any custom component can be added to any game, so just seek out one and you're sorted - or you can change the weight of a smart zone you don't/won't use to -400 to make your own.

I get bored by a lot of big games and how cookie-cutter they can be, so I play a lot of indie games usually - otherwise, shooters like TF2 and Loadout or horror games (This year's looking good - Routine and Alien Isolation are looking awesome).

The 2nd one looks pretty messy to me, interesting idea though.
The first one would be cooler if you could get lexan panels over all the framework, but weight constraints I guess are the downfall here.

3318
I'm not sure I believe all this... seems a little convenient - how are you posting?

Off-Topic Discussion / Re: Omni Modding?
« on: April 08, 2014, 04:19:56 AM »
When this mod was released it was met with a lukewarm response but no mention of copywrites or stealing someone Else's ideas.  But when I released an upgraded version as RobotArena2014, I was called a thief.  Why was that?  It is the same mod with the same pictures and music.

By the sounds of it, only Alex played it (and no offence to him but... Yeah). If more people had downloaded and played I expect the response would be similar.
