Black Sabbath - Heaven and Hell

One of the best metal songs of all time. Easily the bands best song, mostly because Dio pwns on this track.

But it shows that the person must want to fit in.

"Oh, if everyone is making TF2 references, then I should, too! Who cares if I never played it?"
So? That's not judging the game in any way so I can't see why it is a problem. Saying TF2 sucks (which it doesn't) without playing it is stupid.

And what about shooters in general? These days you can't be caught dead playing LittleBigPlannet online because there is some elitist hiding in your friends list who bothers you about being "too childish" the next day.

It's hard to explain why.

It's like buying a Deadmau5 hoodie and never listening to their music.
I thought that was called ear preservation?

*shot*

wait wait wait, i thought a poser was someone who listens to glam "metal"/metalcore ?
That's too thin a definition.

You gotta include the A7X fans, bro. Save for 090901.

No.

I never trashed SM. I just am not appealed by it.
I a way that's where we stand. Shooters simply don't appeal to me because they all look rather similar.

Game is meh. Looks dirty but slightly better and more spacially aware than most shooters. Artillery sound is nice and there is a certain atmosphere.
Play it before you rave it.

Stop getting so upset at the fact that someone makes jokes about it when they haven't played it, tis not a big deal.

It shows their ignorance, and makes them look like a poser.
It does not make me look like Skiit  :coolface

But really, I would play it if it was different enough from other shooters. I like Battlefront and TF2 because of that, but this doesn't look different.

However...

Don't trash classics like Super Metroid until you've played them, if you're going to pull that move on me.

It's different from many of the FPS games now.
Not graphically, from what I can see.

But I would enjoy shooters far more if they took a less serious route. Imagine a shooter as colorful as super mario galaxy and with some super unrealistic weapons, and that's what I would enjoy; conserving realism is kinda pointless when it's a game.
Ohai TF2   :approve:
Most of TF2 pwns. Only problem is the CP system, which I think sucks.

Wait, but it's the gameplay that counts, right?
I suppose, but it's a shooter. Identity practically relies on titles now.

If you introduced someone to 5 popular shooters, and only the gameplay, then showed them the same 5 games a week later, would they remember which was which?

It's repetitive, and all games are better than it.
I don't get this. So are most shooters; the few that have more vehicle based or sandbox style playing (Battlefront) are generally more fun.

But Elder Scrolls Oblivion is by far the most pwnage game on a modern system, from my experience, since there is so much to do, and it's like the least linear game in existence. Plus it can be a first person shooter with you shooting flare spells, but you can also cast petrification spells on Bears and roll them down hills. Add to that all the customization and it is a genuinely competitive game with the more simple games simply because it does complex right.

And Doom pwns.

What? It's my opinion. I've played it before, and got bored after a minute or so.
Nothing wrong with that- it's just that with the tone (and lack of "I think" or something similar), it's passing off opinion as fact, somewhat.
I feel like making a snide comment about the "Least Favorite Robots" thread but I have resisted the temptation.
I forgot to write that.

Anyway, this game is really amazing.

Same dirty brown graphics everywhere as every other shooter. Not every place on earth looks like Hull.

Why not make a DSL realistic one and re-arm it with the available components.

Wait, what?
Since the rules totally allow all DSL components, and its too late to change it loooooooooooooooool
Anyway, people are used to building DSL realistic bots and it is likely more difficult to think of an effective DSL Unrealistic design.
I had a pretty easy one, I just upgraded the bot that won BOTM. :gawe:
I just edited Grand Delta to have the 2kg hypno teeth used on the hypnodisk rep spammed on drums instead of minion disks, since they aren't cheatbot or anything.

Not the best Star Wars game but I still love it.
Rogue Squadron 1 or Star Wars: X Wing are probably the best, especially X Wing due to being a genuine space fighter simulator and being fun as hell.

I would like a guitar with a Floyd Rose Tremolo (but would have to change my style to play it, i rest my hand on the bridge), but i have no source of income except birthdays and christmas.
You'd better wait, I'm afraid. Most forms of the cheap forms of Floyd are pretty bad. Unless you can find, say, a BC Rich Ironbird Pro for a cheap price (generally it costs around £500), you're not going to find a decent one.

It kicks ass, too. One of the best metal axes for the price, for the following reasons;
Slim Body
Good Pickups, and adaptable clean tone
24 fret neck
The best access set neck I've ever seen
It looks sexy

It looks great but Ibanez active pickups suck, and the bolt on neck is disappointing considering the access the body provides. It would be much better in a high end version. The new Jackson X-Series warrior with EMGs is by far the best mid range guitar for the price.
I really dislike the body shape of them, also i lean my guitar everywhere, that would destroy it.
What about this?

Not so bad, but using a crappy Floyd Rose special rather than a proper Floyd isn't clever; if you want a Floyd, wait until you have enough cash.

In terms of playability, build quality, sound and awesome looks, this destroys everything in its price range;

*ahem*

A government funded free Grammar school where you have to pass a hard test to get in.

School's creditability? What?
Passing a hard test to get better education sucks. If you aren't very good at school then surely making it so you can't get a good local school due to some limiter is pretty stupid, no? It is not necessary and is a discouraging and archaic system; I know many people who are dedicated to education but aren't great in terms of school performance, so sticking the good schools out of reach is pretty dumb, considering the amount of potential you throw away in the process.

I go to one of the better state schools in the UK with some of the highest offsteads in the country and I enjoy myself. Why it is necessary to use a limited system like the Grammar system is beyond me when perfectly decent systems exist that are far more open and perform nearly as well.
