In the first two weeks of having my guitar, i raised the bridge due to neck buzz (admittedly, way too high), i just lowered it to the perfect position (no buzz but pretty low) and no longer feel that i want a new guitar, it plays so much better now (surprisingly large difference just by lowering and raising the bridge)
This is good. By spec, your guitar is pretty good for a beginner guitar. Only real improvement you can do it replace the pickups. I'd recommend Seymour Duncan JBs, Di-Marzio Super Distortions (not actually very high output but a great pickup) or Activator X (very metal oriented). Avoid EMG like the plague, as they are hard to install.

Also, remember to adjust your truss rod when your neck gets too bent.

If you need to progress in terms of gear I'd get a Blackstar HT-5. Great, fairly cheap, nice sound, reliable, versatile. Not great for live performances due to its low output wattage, but great at home for that very reason.

Went to thorpe park today on a school trip. Needless to say, my first ever rollercoaster was Nemesis, and I absolutely loved it :D
Go ride the proper Nemesis at Alton Towers. Needless to say, it's a monster.

Looks pretty good. Have you fixed that empty space issue ?
Tried it and couldn't upgrade anything usefully with the provided weight. I'll see if I can replace anything with the smaller chassis.

That skirt hinge is just asking for AGOD, unless your copy of DSL is nice and doesn't AGOD up if you ever mix metal hinges and skirt hinges XP
The wedges are still okay:P

Looks very nice now. Do you not have enough weight for Titanium Angled Sheets?
Nah, but with the titanium sheets there it can live pretty well round spinners. I could probably drop the two unnecessary ants, but I prefer overpowering to over-armoring when it comes to popups :P

I like how SSB looks. The other IRL bot doesn't look so slick and both could do with a cool skin. Also, wouldn't a piston be better than a linear actuator?
Piston's would perform worse as they cope worse with pushing other bots forward, while the actuator does that role rather smoothly. In testing a Piston struggled with moving the weapon forward.
Really? I thought servo parts couldn't move opponents...
Have you tried storm bursts?
I wimped out due as I often get AGOD with Storm bursts.
Anyway, the servo definitely moves oponents; it's likely because of the flipper adding more force; anyway, I've made bots that can successfully lift HW with servos, there's once a few pages back.
Anyway, updated Blue Beetle.

Decided to use aluminium wide instead of titanium skirts due to the possibility of a wedge lock being more likely with the latter.

For Blue Beetle, I'd swap the two Halfsheets in the middle for a Titanium Sheet. Same weight, but an extra 50% HP. Chassis could probably stand to be tightened up a little bit, and you might be able to get more ants instead of the Battlepacks you have at the moment.

I like the look of Star Spangled Banner, though. With a good skin job, it would look approximately 43% more awesome.
Attaching the titanium sheets would be rather inconvenient, as it would require some really awkward skirt hinge placement. As for the chassis, I see no real disadvantage as realistically I'm not going to get a huge weight decrease, which doesn't leave a lot of opportunity to add weapons while keeping it balanced per bsg; I think the minor HP increase is preferable. As for batteries, it is technically overpowered as it is, so adding more ants isn't very efficient.

I'll see what I can do about the titanium sheets.

I suck at skinning though I'll find the time to skin it later.
The Last one is my favourite of those 4. But all are looking good.

...Except you shouldn't use battlepacks in #2. Only Ants.
Battlepacks work fine in terms of efficiency and are technically enough to power a BSG, and are more weight effective in that role than an ant. Nothing wrong with battlepacks if you've got the space.

Can you not change SSB so the flipper is near enough flat?

idk it just doesn't look that irl like that to me :P
Will do.

Remember that old popup earlier in my showcase that was edited into Shovel Headed Blockbuster, my BTTB4 eventual runner up? This is more or less the sequel to it. 4 less razors, 3 times as much frontal armour by weight. Wedges are still pretty damn good, and it's fast, powerful, and still extremely damaging.

Yeah, decided to be lame and use Judge bursts. It doesn't perform badly with BSGs, though. As you can see, it uses the linear actuator to give the flipper a forward flipping style, which means it's even better at OOTA'ing bots.

Kinda standard IRL flipper. Doesn't perform badly at all, and can take on spinners with Tit 5 armour.

I hate to say it, but on the subject of saws, I only use Minion disks and sawblades. Just personal preference.

Anyway, bot is fairly cool. Perm looks a little dodgy, I'd use two TWRM3s for the saws.

I thought you meant the audience it was meant for (the 360 and the PS3 are for more hardcore gamers).
Yeah, they are more intended for that, no doubt.
I'm technically a Hardcore gamer, since I'm big on the better shooters, as well more complex RPGs, Adventure games, and many others; I just like the Wii as a console for my less serious gaming desires.

And now how the Wii brutalizes the PS3 and Xbox in terms of its intended audience.

Well don't the 360 and the PS3 do the same thing to a degree as well?
I mean, the Wii is much better at the main market it's aimed at than the PS3 is. The PS3 has few good platformers (LBP is about the only one) and not many family games, which is undoubtedly where the Wii excells with its better quality mini-game compilations like Warioware, and its host of platformers.

11 pages? Hard Bot is a much better troll than I gave him credit for.

Not really, you guys are just trolled way to easily.
Actually most of this is because somebody tried to turn this into an actual argument. Hard Bot's been more or less ignored for the last 9 pages.

But then it shows that you would rather play GCN games, than games from the Wii.

I know you could turn it around with the Virtual Console, but it isn't as easy to obtain those games as the GCN games are.
Hmm fair point. I can't deny this.

You win. The Wii needs more good games to be at the same level as the PS3 for Hardcore gamers, and less crappy ports.

Like you all said. A console is nothing without games.
And who makes the games?

But if the amount of bad games weigh out the good ones, wouldn't that mean it still is a disadvantage, even though it is not Nintendo's fault.
This is true, and I can't argue against it. But...

The Wii works as a gamecube. It can play Virtual Console. In itself it now has more than enough good games that it can play, technically.

Just because my arguments have been used before doesn't make them any less valid.  Hell, the fact that the argument keeps recurring so much without being properly put down speaks lengths about it's validity.  Plus, you're missing my point.  The point was that, minus the shovel-ware and filler games, the Wii's game lineup is very weak.  It doesn't mean all the games are shovelware, but it does mean that the good games are few and far between.  In addition, most of the good games are made by Nintendo themselves (that being said, a good number of them are games that are reused concepts that have already been beat to death).

The Wii's game lineup lacks good shooters and good racing games (two things that could have really taken advantage of the motion controls).  Also, and I know I'm gonna get crap for saying this, it lacks more "hardcore" games.  Before you argue for the case of "casual" games, do keep in mind there's a much less expensive alternative if you want to play lackluster games for the sake of wasting time.

This is mainly true, but there are some good shooters (see Goldeneye) and racers (the F1 games aren't bad on Wii). It does need more hardcore games to make it more relevant to many markets though, I agree, although I think this is partially due to developers thinking the same as many of you think - 'It's a kids console'.
It has so much potential for those types of games, when developers like Treyarch (which so many of you hold highly) don't actually work with it at all and just send awful ports.
If these guys made something FOR the Wii, I bet it'd blow a lot of people's minds. So IMO it's not the console, it's not the buyers, it's not Nintendo (who have made some sweeet Metroid games on Wii), it's 3rd party developers.

Although I'm almost sure that my opinion will be corrected by Nate in a minute.
I agree with this. As you say, the Wii's best games are made by Nintendo, and the lack of games in certain areas are simply because of 3rd party developers. It DOES need more good games, it's just that no company makes any.

Noodle took all of my reasons and made them better.
Which they sorely needed.

1. That's never effected great games before. In addition, the Wii's processing power in terms of graphics is not often apparent with the better games of the system. It may not be as good graphically, but games like Super Mario Galaxy can look better than the common generic brown you can tag to 70% of the PS3's shooters, at least in my opinion.

Generic brown is fitting for a gritty shooter.  Who the heck would want to play a gritty game as a SWAT team in the middle of Sesame Street?  Besides, "70% of the PS3's shooters" doesn't speak for the graphics capability of the system (this goes for the Xbox as well).  If you like pixelated, cartoony graphics then that's fine.  It doesn't change the fact that both the 360 and the PS3 can do that and more.

If I ever see graphics like these generated by a Wii, I will eat my shoes:

2. Most is not all. Do you ever plan to own all of the games on any system? No, you buy a few, and there are a few great games on Wii.

Your arguments have been used before and are subjective enough to destroy an English Teacher. Come up with one that's original.

As for  the last bit, don't buy it since there are good games on Wii that aren't shovelware. It's not like you buy some random mini game compilation when there's something vaguely decent like Monster Hunter Tri on a console.

Meh, I like cartoony graphics, pixelated or not, as I can put up with Wii games and more graphically proficient games like TF2. And if you think graphics pays off, then that's fine too. I prefer original game-play (and I do not mean motion controls by this), and I'm not a shooter fan, save for Metroid.

But seriously, it has hardcore games. They are not necessarily shooters, but it has pretty violent games like No More Heroes and Madworld on it exclusively.

The Wii pretty much sucks.  The whole thing is based on a gimmick.  Once you get tired of being amazed at how flailing your arms does stuff there really isn't much else to it.  Take away the wonder of having motion controls and you realized that the graphics are terrible and most of the games are boring at best.

Still, gimmicks sell.  Thus, the Wii is a huge moneymaker.

It's kind of funny how Microsoft and Sony jumped on the bandwagon with motion controls.  It's even funnier that Kinect actually turned out to be pretty cool rather than just a useless joke.

Edit:
I also forgot to mention the dearth of decent games for the Wii.  I mean, many a joke has been made about the meager volume of games for the PS3, but not many about the ridiculous amount of shovel-ware made for the Wii.  90% of the Wii games available are the same repackaged "OMIGAWD MOVING MY CONTROLLER DOES STUFF" crap that's already been released.

Pretty much this how I feel.
It's an opinion, so stick IMO, rather than "Wii sucks".

Quite simply, there are mostly bad games on Wii, but the good ones are more varied than the good ones on PS3 by genre. I think that sums the Wii up best; it's fine if you don't like it, but it hardly sucks because it doesn't suit you.

My opinion:

PC>Xbox=PS3>Wii

Although I know the Wii is actually more fun for small kids and families.
Go play Madworld. Not for kiddies.
