'Wanted to build something 'just whike nitemare', and more than likely completely failed at doing so' applies quite well, see Shinigami, lul.

3242
Signups won't fill fast, BB uses unlimited entries until the closing date.

The way I do antiballasts is to find the txt file of a smartzone I don't use and change the weight to -400.

3243
If you're a bit over, take an ant out. You need 4 max there. Also, if that bar cuts through any of the components inside the chassis (eg batteries) when it spins, it's not IRL or even DSL-Standard.

Stock HW
The arena will be the DSL Tournament Arena (large arena with hazards in the corners and low walls), unless otherwise stated.
Every entrant will get 3-5 "stocks", depending on the total number of entries.
Randomized matches every round.
Whenever your bot gets KO'd, you lose a stock.  Once you lose all of your stocks, you're eliminated.
Rounds will alternate between 1v1 and 2v2 matches.
Every 5 rounds, there will be an event to gain stocks back:
The tournament continues until there is only one bot left. Last bot standing is the winner.
The winner and runner-up will get all of the AI bots used in the tourney.

GENERAL RULES
-You know what "stock" means. No BFE, AAM, Hax Mode, cheatbot2, Thyrus Glitch, Text Editing... etc
-1 bot per physical person. No making alt/smurf accounts to try and enter more robots.
-Any and every non-cheatbot2 component included with the 1.4 version of stock is 100% legal, this includes the 140cm extenders, all AI parts, and the snapper II
-Your bot must have 2 (or more) powered wheels and show some sort of controlled movement (I will be testing for this)
-Occasional, minor havok is counted as controlled movement as long as it is not constant (i.e. you cannot turn without going airborne).
-Failing the controlled movement test will result in your current entry being rejected, you must replace your entry after with something more stable/controlled.
-All robots must fall within a 15kg range of the weight limit (785-800kg)
-Smartzones do not count as weight if it pushes your robot above the weight limit.
-Custom smartzones are allowed, given they aren't used as ballast.
-Once accepted, you are allowed to update/change your entry ONCE and only ONCE.
-Any obvious attempts to counteract or otherwise exploit a loophole in the rules will be automatically DQ'd. (example: a VS with no supports obviously made to get its drive taken off and bumbleball)
-All of the bots entered will become a part in ASAI. As such, I would PREFER if you sent in a quality bot, but I will not stop you from sending what you please.
-Jokebots will be shot on sight however.
-No limit on entries.
-Nobody has any reserved spots in this tourney because it isn't Around the World 3.
HAVOK RULES:

-If your bot is suspected of causing a game-altering havok, it will get a strike (indicated by a X in the corner of the video)
-"Game altering havoks" count as: flipping any bot upside down or OOTA, crashing the game, or generally any havok that majorly changes the outcome of the match.
-After this strike, any further game altering havoks during the match will result in an automatic loss for your robot/team for that round.

-My entry will be Savior:

The rules above cannot change, this is now a signups topic.
Enjoy! :D

SIGNUPS CLOSE 1st MAY!

This tournament is all about the destruction - as much as possible, please!
To ensure this, there are bot type restrictions.

Rules
-The bot must be a DSL 2.1 Heavyweight built under the 'Standard' ruleset. Minimum weight is 700kg.
-Please do not enter an IRL bot, I will decline it. Also, if the bot you enter is obviously lower than your creative/technical ability, I may decline it.
-The bot must have at least 75% of it's weapon weight in one of the permitted bot types. If you wish, the rest may be used in a rammer/wedged rammer rack.
-The permitted bot types are as follows
-For weapon motors, you may freely use all types of Perm including Dual, the E-tek, the 2/4/6Mag gearboxes and the Geared Beta (for hammers only). Anything below the Perm 80 in power (Piglets, Mags etc) can be used at a limit of 2 for a specific bot type - for example, you can only have 2 Face Spinning weapons using any motor below a Perm 80. This means you can use more than 2 of these motors provided the bot is a hybrid, and only has a maximum of 2 on each weapon system.
-No flailing weapons
-No BFE for an unrealistic cause, no Custom Components, no AAM/Cheatbot2/ZeroG etc. Trov Glitch is allowed.
-No Clusterbots
-19 entrants (the last 4 accepted entries will be in a Wildcard match)
-Fights will be conducted in the Combat Arena with hazards off for 3 minutes.
-There will be a Loser's Bracket
-All fights aside from the Grand Final (between Winner's Bracket winner and Loser's Bracket winner) will be 4-way.
-1 Havok restart, then your bot will be removed from the battle.
-No upgrades when you send your bot, apart from AI lines.
-I can AI but PLEASE try, it saves so much time.
-If you enter a bot that breaks the rules, you will be notified. Your spot can be taken by someone else if you are holding a spot with an illegal bot and the entry list is full.
-Entries received before signups open will need to be resubmitted after signups open to be valid.
-I will be entering with Pyrexia 2.0
-Any empty spaces in the entry list after 1st May will provide 'bye' spots, first filling the Wildcard, and then if the Wildcard is empty too, they will be shuffled into the first round via randomizer.

The skirt hinge needs to be raised up a notch to be legal if it's not already, and I'm not sure if it's just me but that skirt doesn't really look massively... realistic. Probably just me.

Nah, it's fine.

Other than the drive, straight drive would've been better. And a smaller chassis could work too. But that's kinda optional.

That looks about as small as he could get it if there's 4 ants in there as I would expect.
Looks alright, the motors are vulnerable with bars that short though, but that's unavoidable.

Thinking about implementing a minimum weapon motor so as to restrict back jugglers and wall-of-weapon FS, I imagine the minimum will be a Perm 45, so I'd be allowing only perms, dual perms, eteks and 2/4/6 mags as weapon motors. Geared Betas are of course allowed on hammers.

B-but muh FS...

B-but read the rest of muh thread... :P

I wasn't really planning on entering it because it is silly and probably not IRL. I think there should be some leniency with bots that have weapons on/for wheels, I mean I added the beaters to try and help with traction, not to score points, and there have been a lot of bots with sawblade wheels.

I think the current ruleset may be the final one. Get building, signups will open sometime in the next few days!

In Savoie. that mountainy part of france, next to Switzerland.

More precisely in Bonneville. You should come here, we would have a beer, talk about how manly we are (and then get promptly schooled by Scrap) and maybe have a fight ? I haven't had a decent one in weeks. Good that I am going back to jujitsu.

I could get a return flight to Geneva for £80, then come and destroy you.

Help I did a SHW help help
Surprisingly stable, and if it does topple it rights weirdly easily all things considered.
Still, help. Help.

Also, here's the team. I doubt I'll enter that... thing up there... lol.

Because people will just make wall-of-weapon FS.

I think I will allow anything below Perm 80 as long as there is no more than 2 used on 1 spinner type. This makes more sense and will allow for cool hybrids.

astro drive, what are you going to outwedge with dat
I wasn't planning on outwedging anything :P the skirts are more for stability than anything.

Right I've got a solution, make a longer bit of the back part of the hammer that touches the floor and stops before it passes through the skirt hinge

It doesn't pass through the hinge on an ordinary swing. If the bot jumps because of the momentum/impact, it will, whichever side the hammer's on.
