You think those House Robots will be on Bot Exhange?
These bots were all lost on my old computer. Plus, since they use custom parts, I'd have to make them into a zip file that contained all the custom pieces. So no, I can't share these ones. However, I DO plan on making new house robots for my DSL Showcase that can be shared. Just gotta draw out the blueprints and stuff.

That's a neat looking bot. Instead of using the stock angles components, look into using square extenders and the new DSL2.2 angle components. They look better and give you a lot more flexibility
I'll keep that in mind.
Here's the next bot. Debra: [ Quoting of attachment images from other messages is not allowed ] [ Quoting of attachment images from other messages is not allowed ] Bio: "One of the scariest flippers in Bot Wars, Debra is a strong, female bot with a strong, female team. She consistently KOs robots by launching them all the way across the arena and into oblivion. And with a zero ground clearance, only the deadliest of spinners can stand up to her and her thick steel armor. She has a rivalry with house robot Madame Mayhem."
Ironically, Debra in-game is armored in 5mm Titanium, but in the story, she's got steel armor. Based off my lego bot Debranator, they're basically the same thing. Only difference is that this RA2 version is untested in combat. It's just a model used for reference for when I draw comic panel strips of her.
Also, ignore the casters on the back of her launcher. That's just for stability. Not meant to be an IRL part.
Great 4 bar Flipper. And have you ever think of making a robot for competing in tournaments, because Orc's Wars Extreme will enter sign up tomorrow
I've made my fair share of competitor robots that have had decent success in past tournaments. Maybe some day I'll make a competitive IRL bot. But for now, it's just these guys.

Here's another stock replica I'll be adding to the BotExchange. It's Eric, the lord and savior of the Facebook group Robot Wars Shuntposting: Also, I'm working on the Series 2 and Series 3-7 version of Dead Metal. Just deciding on what color of extenders to use. (No, I will not make my own color, I'm not making custom components. I have my reasons.)

I tried to get into the replica building game. That's either a good or bad thing depending on how you look at it. [ Quoting of attachment images from other messages is not allowed ]
This is a recreation of End Game. It is just on the CW limit of 600KG's, and I'm mostly happy with this aside from the only issue being that I couldn't get this 'bot to have a single toothed flywheel. It has 5mm Aluminium armour and is pretty damn nippy as well, having 4 NPCF's.
Up next, me getting an original idea...
I think it's a GREAT thing. Id recommend you posting that on the replicas thread.

I've actually never seen a 250CM disc be used, like, ever. Can't say I didn't try to use it then.
(Image removed from quote.)
Sweet. Maybe I can recreate my VS that used the disc and we can have a fight.

Here's another bot with a bio and a place in my Robot Combat fictional series in the making. Buck-Toothed Biter: Not that good, but that's because I'm not used to making crushers. Or DSL IRL for that matter. Again, this bot isn't meant for combat, it was solely made for aesthetics. I may revise him later. Bio: "Pioneers of the crushing beak in Bot Wars, Buck-Toothed Biter is an easily recognized design. It's not that successful however. The team are always great sports and always try their hardest in the competition."

make sure none of the ENABLED MODS lines are commented out in sergepatcher.py. The start of your sergepatcher.py should look like below:
### Configuration starts here # Comment out / remove any of the lines 4-7? to disable a mod. ENABLED_MODS = [ "unlimited mass", # no mass limit "unlimited chains", # disable 7-chain rule "attachment hermaphroditism", # attach components to any type of AP, disabled by default "component intersection", # allow components to intersect any other component, disabled by default ] # Logfile name LOGFILE = 'sergepatcher_log.txt' ### Configuration ends here
Well, it PARTIALLY worked. I don't think the chassis thing worked though. I got this for a sergelog: INFO Starting... INFO Mod 'unlimited mass' applied succesfully. INFO Mod 'unlimited chains' applied succesfully. INFO Mod 'attachment hermaphroditism' applied succesfully. INFO Mod 'component intersection' applied succesfully. INFO Initialized succesfully!

Ok, I have some more information. I know I did the installation right. Nothing crashed, it was a fresh copy of RA2, everything was set up perfectly. However, at the part where in the botlab I'm supposedly supposed to get access to the mods, I just get regular tips. I don't know how adding something in the arenas folder can change something in the BotLab, but whatever. Upon exiting, I got this thing called "sergepatcher log". The instructions told me that if this happens, I need to get rid of it. If I kept having that pop up every time I opened and closed the game, I'm supposed to post the log's contents onto this specific thread. So, here it is: INFO Starting... INFO Mod 'unlimited mass' applied succesfully. INFO Mod 'unlimited chains' applied succesfully. INFO Initialized succesfully! I have a HP Laptop with Windows 10 on it. Is there any chance that sergepatcher won't work because of that?

Hello? Anyone?
please be patient
Sorry, I get really insecure when I ask for help, which in of itself his hard to do, and nobody replies fast enough. If there's no response for a whole day, that basically means either nobody saw it, or nobody cared enough to help. At this point all I need is just a copy of RA2 that has the limitless chassis settings on. I gave up on trying to figure out why my installation of the mod refused to work every time.

Good job Thyrus. I actually tried my hand at making Huge too, but the wheels were too heavy, and I didn't feel like remodeling it.

Another awesome bot and bio. And do you say that you aspire to become a story writer and made an original story about robot combat. I'm currently writing a robot combat Multiverse crossover Fanfic, where 24 roboteers from fictional universes will fight. I will show you further details and the unfinished Fanfic in a PM
Hm. That sounds interesting. May as well check it out. I think you might need a few more batteries
Eh, I'm not using these for combat. They're just for show.

I installed the sergepatcher PY and stuff into the arenas, EXACTLY as the readme instructed, and nothing changed. It's not working.
Sorry for the bump, but I'm just curious, is there a mod for no restrictions on chassis building? Being ably to make whatever shaped chassis you want? I don't mean the kind of stuff in Bot File Editing, which I can't do, I mean more like when you're shaping the top of the chassis, and you want to make it a certain way, but for some dumb reason the game won't let you.
I could've sworn Serge made a patch that enabled that.
Massive bump but came across this again, where do I copy everything in this to: https://pastebin.com/Nqr62Yrw
Just edit the extracted sergepatcher_freedom.py in Arenas
I copy-pasted that and did everything as instructed. I edited the py file. It STILL doesn't work.
I tried the static version, which is what a regularly use, and the only thing that didn't work was the chassis points modification, which is what I currently need, and have NEVER been able to get working.
Are you using RA2 from a Windows?
Yup, Windows 10.

The bio, lol. Anyway, can you post internal shot for your bot?
Sure! There's not much to it really. Anyway, here's my next bot, also a flipper, also animal themed, and he even has little thingies on his head. Say hello to Demon Cow, a top-hinged flipper, a design inspired by RW competitor The Mule and my lego bot Demon Cow. I was gonna name him Cow Satan, but Demon Cow has a better, funnier ring to it. His insides are densely packed, and I don't feel like taking him apart, so here's an obscured view of the internals. Here's his bio: "Legendary flipper Demon Cow returns from retirement to claim another championship. But has his design aged well? Notorious for out of the arena flips and attacking the house robots, even flipping the mighty Mr. Massacre, the boss of the house robots, this bot is definitely championship material." Yes, I said house robots. I'm making a series about robot combat, a story, and it features original house robot designs. I'm not sure how far I will take it. It'll probably start as a webcomic, and then escalate to animation when I go to film school. I aspire to become a story-writer. I feel like these are genuinely made IRL, in that there's not much effort in making them combat effective. I just have a vision of what each one looks like, and bring it to life in RA2.

Wow, an ENTIRE year? Eh, I did lose interest in making IRL bots, since there's so many other people who can do better than me. Regardless, I have a potential future project that I may start working on in the future and that requires a bunch of robots and bios. A potential story I most likely will write and possibly animate as well in a few years when I go to film school. Here's Blue Moose, basically a knock-off of Toro and RedBull. If Redbull gives you wings, Blue Moose gives you antlers. INB4 someone makes a Happy Tree Friends Lumpy reference. Based off one of my lego robots, but made to be more realistic. And added antlers. The two ballasts in the back are there to stay, so don't criticize their awkward appearance on his rear end. I'll be making some more robots. Here's the "bio" for this one: "Blue Moose is a young rookie robot and consistently performs like a pro. The team are great sports and it's believed they used real moose antlers on their robot. They're also trying to promote their new energy drink, also called Blue Moose. It gives you energy, AND antlers." Expect more to come.

I think someone should make a replica of red devil (and send it to me)!
So basically, you're asking for one of us to make a replica for you? Unfortunately, asking for replicas is frowned upon here. But, at some point, I do plan on making some kind of Red Devil replica in stock, I could give you that.
