Moved back to Active Discussion. You'll need to check out the new Tournament rules, you need to get half your entry list size of 'Yes, I will enter this tournament' votes in a poll and then drop me a PM to move to signups - also, as you have 0 tournament points you can only have up to 16 entries, sorry, but that means you only need 8 'Yes' votes to proceed. Let me know if you have any questions :)

Yes, people know how - popups. Check some out in the stock showcases, and to build them you will need those hard building techniques. Stock, like DSL-S, isn't just something you're automatically good at like IRL or Replicas, but work at it and you will be rewarded with impressive and very destructive creations :)

Damage will not be amazing using 2 spike strips - if you need to test it, get Starcore. You'd need a lot more weaponry to get decent damage, as far as I'm aware
(Also, please don't double post? :3)

Yeah, then he could self right even worse.
Nary's right when it comes to disc vs, beaters and razors are probably the best way to go. Also, try angling the motor up so you can have the supports flat, then you don't have to start so far in the air in matches :)

ok here is some joke bots mainly because i am bad at dsl-s
I just looked at those bots. Seriously? You could've at least TRIED to build some DSL-S bots instead of that! The way to get better at DSL-S is to TRY building it and improve, not just give up. It's not like IRL, it takes effort to get good at it. I don't think I've ever seen less funny joke bots. [/rant]

Yeah, the reason I at least try to avoid having a wedged VS is it's unnecessary obstacle between your opponent and the disc. If it's unstable, the supports aren't far enough forward or to the sides, and the self-right issue could be solved if you got rid of - or shortened - the back supports. I think. :)

I saw that but it looks identical? Unless my eyes deceive me and there's changes inside.

You don't even have to do that - usually just putting 1 or something works. If you find the correct numbers, the weapon will automatically stop working if that component is broken off, but to save time just using something like 1 works as that's inside the chassis so the weapon will just keep running. BY all means though, if you want to do it properly you can find out the component numbers.

Did you make that Warhead? I thought that was just the one in the pack?

Yeah. Have you got any weapons defined on the end of the bindings line? If the line doesn't say the bot has weapons, the bot won't use them.

How are you wiring the spinner? It should be a button labelled 'spin' for Omni at least.

Could you give some more detail? Are you trying to use directionalspinner or omni? What issues are you encountering?

That's certainly IRL so you're fine there. Not a fan of the iron on top (a shorter spike would look better I feel) and the skin's a little dodgy but otherwise pretty nice.
