instead of a ram plate, put a plow and make the wedge longer..
A Snowplow could work. And why make the wedge longer? It gets under other robots pretty well.

@Newest robot: Why did you put the samauri blades at the start of the DDTs?
They work better if you mount them on the ends along with the edges.

then the wheels will break off like anything else, the axles on the other hand will be invincible
But this topic has proven that axles are "illegal". So I guess we need to find some other weird alternative.

So I got around to adding a wedge to this thing:  I'm liking these tires better, as the robot has more control. It still turns on a dime, but it does not have a seizure when you try to drive it forward, unlike the previous version. And apparently I traded the horn for a Mohawk.

I see how it was put together, I'm just iffy about the semi-exposed disks And for more robot shenanigans:  I'm pretty sure this is the exact same robot everyone has made at least 30 times over, but I always wanted to try and make something like that. The 4 HP spinners are mounted on the bluebirds(lolrupt) The back HPs are mounted on a purple/green motor. This thing's control is horribly unorthodox, but it does crazy amounts of damage. And apparently its part unicorn.

Nah chassis has the DDT holding the wedge as well. Look at the first piture, you see it has a chassis wedge as well as some casters in the front.

I'm not seeing why you need that long single wedge when you already have two other wedges.
Add to it, its always broken off in all the battle shots. My guess is he had no idea what els he could add, so just stuck something random on.

Usually, razors work a lot better as weapons on a drum than clubs do.
When ever I tried using razors, they never actually worked for me. The other bots would just be balancing on the disks instead of actually taking damage. Though it wouldnt hurt to try that idea again, as I'm pretty sure it has to do with the direction in which the connection cars are facing. uh...make chassis smaller, put 2 zteks as weapons motors with razors and uh..use shinnies?
and what exactly are the side spikes for? i get that the back spikes are for stability, but the sides?
......Why would I downgrade my 2 HP Z-Teks to just regular Z-Teks? And the side spikes are supposed to be like some form of wheel defense. But I guess if they are THAT un-needed, I could always remove them.

So I got around to re-building the drum-bot:  I'm finding this design to be pretty effective, as the robot doesn't fall over itself apon attacking the opponent, unlike the previous version. It has some decent speed, and the frontal wedges are ideal for this sort of weapon. *Was looking through Click's showcase a bit* It has a little bit of empty space(the current view of it makes it seem bigger), but its pretty good as-is. Thoughts?

Check out Clickbeetle's Drumblebee series to see how a drum can be put together really well. If I remember correctly, thats where the idea to use the clubs came from. But I should double check them anyway. Your robots are funny :)
If the bot is really packed and has left over weight, I usually just stick random things on it.

On the topic of Drum-bots, this is what I have so far:  Yes, it has a chair so people can ride it. Its a lose design, but I plan on re-building the whole thing. I think a longer chassis might work better, as with the current one, the weapon tends to weigh more then the robot itself. :D Armadillo! Hope you'll stay awhile!
