General Support / Re: Custom Skins prevent me from skinning ingame« on: September 11, 2015, 12:35:00 PM »
Export a standard template of your robot's skin, stretch that to desired size, and then drop the artwork you've done onto that.

Any ideas for what component I can use on the chainsaw? What I used was the sword from Ironforge:

You have my condolences, Sage. I don't suppose there's some way they're still on your hard drive despite upgrading?

Custom Components Showcase / Re: Pay Tribute With Replicas« on: August 24, 2015, 08:41:13 AM »Does this go against your no dsl rule? I mean it's the same team and bit name but different machine?. I make exceptions if I'm doing a significantly different version, or feel like I can improve on it. In this case, the DSL version is the Series 5-7 model whilst mine is the Series 3 model. 310

Behemoth, Series 3. I have a special liking for this version after playing Robot Wars Arena of Destruction

I ended up voting for Witch Doctor in addition to the ones in the OP. I liked a lot of things about it; rubber-mounted scoop, effective minibot, and a gorgeous but deadly OTD (One-Tooth Disc, am I using the right acronym, SKBT?) Plus the Bots IQ verison was a monster.

It's on the Combat Robotics Facebook page, just search "Hall of Fame" and it's the first thing to come up. He doesn't want the link posted anywhere besides the 4 places where he originally posted it.

I met Jerome Miles (Unibite, Hyperactive) at Motorama, but I was too shy to really say anything. I met Russ Barrow (Dark Track, Lightning Tracks, Dark Pounder) at Bot Blast, but once again, was too shy to really say anything.

Max of two sharp edges on a spinner assembly, and three spikes jutting out in a single direction. Even if we don't have a hard and fast rule, it's a fact that's worh mentioning.

Excessive spikes or teeth? Witch Doctor and Hypno Disc were pretty solid proof that less teeth = more destructive in real life.

The instance where I didn't like beer happened when I was 21, so does that mean I'll never develop a taste for that stuff?

Alcohol has this bitter unpleasant taste, and I never found a beer or any kind of drink that could cover it up enough to my liking.

Not sure if this is the right place but they're doign "Draw a robot" prompts on FB. The requirements for this one were "skid drive" and "based on an 80's toy" and also I had about an hour to work on it. So here's my bot based on the game Mousetrap, with what I think is "skid drive" The gears make a Tentoumushi style cage go up and down, and the spring-loaded cat claws scratch at it.

I dunno, I can believe a haunting much better than a random malfunction that happens to turn them into calculated guerrilla-tactic security guard killers.
