Lol bro Wii U has Batman Arkham city on it and it's not an adult game system? LOLOLOLOL. Anyway, Bullies suck and dismissing a game as childish before you've even played it is equally childish. I've played the wii and gamecube, and both have hardcore games like Killer 7 and Madworld.
And I've played 3DS and never experienced eyestrain. What causes eye strain for me is too low a field of view (or effectively peripheral vision).

It's terrible.

Cool bot. Only real aesthetic problem is that the wheels poke out the side very slightly. What are the flippers powered by?

Metallica :trollface

Or Slayer.
Cannibal Corpse, Opeth, Darkthrone, Machine Head (currently experiencing their strongest point in their career but really not that good IMO, at least at the moment. Burn My Eyes still rules), Dimmu Borgir, Children Of Bodom, Behemoth, Decapitated, Evile (although their last album is awesome), Necrophagist (musical wankery at its worst), Periphery, Chimp Spanner and Nile are all also extremely overrated quite regularly.

Can we include Spotify playlists in this topic? Just to keep us from having to post another thread for a similar piece of software.

What about the Halo games? All the games are following a storyline, and the replay values are good...
The original and Halo 3 were good IMO. Nothing outstanding but both decent games.

Truth be told, Pokemon is a big market game that will, and never otherwise, get lots of positive reviews for all the major games. Even mediocre games like Mystery Dungeon get fairly high ratings, even though they don't really deserve it IMO. Same applies for the new Zelda game, which is solid but is nowhere near the quality of previous games, yet it still gets >90% reviews.
Pokemon gets boring after you defeat the E4. It has no replay value

Unless you make different challenges for yourself. Like use of a level 100 Magikarp. But it is rather easy when you have six level 100s that know Hyper Beam.
Which in itself is a very long and arduous task with no actual entertainment beyond getting it to the final goal, which I found tiring rather than fun.

In any case, I feel my argument, subjective and opinionated as it is, is this:
1. Pokemon lacks the originality to keep me buying the games, which I have to do if I want to enjoy the system because...
2. It has poor, lackluster quality replay value which really prevents me from actually playing it more than once.
3. The repetitive leveling system is frankly extreme tiring and prevents the game from being re-playable if you want to level up. Unless you cheat with an action replay, I guess.
4. Save for the new game, the plot in each game really hasn't varied much at all.
5. Quality really hasn't advanced, and like several big series it has become one of the flagship good games, meaning it will get hype despite how stagnant the formula is.
6. The more original games (Colosseum, XD: Gale Of Darkness) suffer from dull capture systems which, while okay, didn't add anything to the game.

I still like some of the games but I have absolutely no desire to buy another.

In addition, I have felt no desire to play a Pokemon game from the start twice. Games like Okami and Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess made me play several times over (I've probably completed Okami around 5 times).

I see it as playing the same game from the 90's with better graphics and different Pokemon.

The Call of Duty series applies to this as well, but not as much.
Actually, the CoD series has it applied moreso. The plots are samebake, and the graphics aren't even improved on much. No real new material is added, just stuff is rehashed and sold on as a new game. At least Pokemon has new additions each Generation, even if the large percentage of them are crap

Plotwise, MW2 and 3 are the same, but World at War, and Black Ops had more unique plots.
And they are the only two CoD games I can tolerate. Blacks Ops had a huge field of view compared to the others so it was much nicer and less focused on gawking at the mini map.
I'll agree with you there. Once you peel away the shiny wrappers, they have basically remained the same core game underneath. But SotG is also correct, CoD has remained much more stagnant in terms of gameplay and innovations, whereas Pokemon has brought several new features and methods to fight. If you took Pokemon Red and compared it to Pokemon White, there would be a vast difference in terms of lifespan and bonus quest things. CoD, much less so.
The term, "unentertaining replay value" applies to Pokemon far too heavily IMO. It's not very strong in any sidequest area, so the bits after the league are basically stagnant or repetitive and time consuming training. Skyrim manages sidequests brilliantly, but not one Pokemon sidequest has impressed me, ever.

Drinking the kool aid much? (Not you)

I feel the same thing applies to Pokemon. The games have had little innovation over the years.
Though I can see a lot of members disagreeing, I personally feel the same way. I've never really liked them after I'd played Leaf Green (which I considered very good at the time, and I still like it now). They really haven't got anywhere IMO, they've just kept on the beaten path and now I just find the games tiring.

The core game system might not have changed (Catch -> Train -> Battle -> Repeat), but it's a tried and tested system which definitely works.
It really doesn't benefit the game IMO though. One thing it could benefit from was more interactivity, Mario and Luigi (as in Partners In Time) style. Also, a genuine twist in that system and much better levelling system (seriously, there are very few items that make it bearable to level up a party to it's fullest, and even then you may want to experiment with certain tactics which require other high level but different pokemon.)

I see it as playing the same game from the 90's with better graphics and different Pokemon.

Don't you fight for objectivity round here?

I can't stand Beiber, though. He's been so overstyled, overhyped and overmarketed, that people don't realise that he has very little musicianship, if any at all. The people who have talent are normally vastly overshadowed by the people that will sell.
Basically, but that applies to every genre; Nickleback will always sell more than Alter Bridge even though they're both the same genre and the latter is more technically adept. That's life.

Satirical site presenting a stereotypical republican (or not...) and a bunch of articles built to troll those without an irony sensor. Comments are absolutely hilarious, 'cuz the guy actually is a liberal living in Germany, and loads of people actually take it seriously.

SLG - I like the idea. Shame about the havokiness, though, but it might work with a slightly stabler setup.
OC - Wheelguards look cool, certainly. Random skirt hinges on the front, however, do not. They'd best not be for MCB wedges.
Demanufacture - I like the setup very much. My worry would be the entire weaponry coming off in one hit, though, but it looks like it does its purpose very well.
TRFBD - Yep, I made a similar one. I think mine had E-Teks and less razors, though.
SBR - That is one awesome looking IRL bot. It would be even more awesome if the piston could be raised and lowered. Chassis proportions are spot on, excellent work.
Concept - Idea should definitely work, maybe somthing similar to Ludicrous Speed. Don't know why the sledgehammers are there, though, you could get some more razors up front. Maybe replace the Vlad Spike with them too. If you can refine it and get rid of the AGOD, it should be a very nice design.
OC-Nah, its plastic skirts on those hinges. Pretty lame but it was performing rather hopelessly without.
Demanufacture-Somehow that never happened in testing. It can beat very heavily armed spinners and shell spinners in particular with ease.
SLG-I think its simply because the NPCs are too close together, personally. I'll make a revised version tomorrow.
Fate's Warning (concept to you)-As I said, this was more for proof of concept. Razors are on the axles so they can move upwards and absorb some of the other robots impact before moving forward and flipping them. Rule of 7 prevented me from adding more razors to the front rack, and I personally thought that due to the not so great damage potential survivability was favorable.
TRFBD-I'm tellin' y'all, more weapon weight is favorable to greater speed on these things.
