Yeah, a replica is literally replicating the original, so of course they'd be the same. Skinning is a not massively difficult way to hugely improve the quality of a replica.

More stock will go down a treat I think, but maybe not MW with Tusslers being MW.

Please remember that if a tournament is completely finished, you should be sending me a personal message to confirm it's fully completed and you have no further plans for it so I know to move it across and make appropriate changes in the Tournament Management thread.

Let's try again
Match Rules -Best of three -16 bot tourney -DSL Unrealistic (Yes unrealistic, like Stock) -HW 400-800.05KG (I'm giving you guys a 0.5 KG cushion, but this weight includes smart zones) -Octagon Arena (Hazards off) -Fights will be scored based on Damage, Aggression and condition of bot after battle (Naryar, Chickenado and Helloface are currently judges) -I will allow 3 small havoks per round (Anything big I.E back flipping into the roof will warrant you a strike, 3 strikes and you're out) -If neither bot destroys each other by the end of the round, judges shall decide -Winner gets to enter in two robots into the next Undisputed should there be another one.
Building/Entry Rules -No BFE/Hax mode -One bot per person -Bot must have at least 1 powered wheel -Crawlers/bumble balls/cheap norris' are a no -I'd prefer if you could tell me what you want me to AI your bot as. Also, I can help add on Smart Zones and all, but I'd like it if you could do that. -ME/Castor armor is legal -I'll let you update your bots 3 times until I post the SBV -If a judge enters and his bot fights, I will take his place to avoid biased decisions.
Cheatbot2: -All wheels except Storm wheel
I will not enter. Empty spots will be filled by Bye bots

This is now a signups topic and the rules above may not change. You have 3 months. :)

You can only have 16 entrants in your first tournament. And the parts staying off thing is a bit of a put-off for me with VS.

Why are you using a mag snapper? They're awful. BSGs are much better - and you have plenty of space to move the burst forward, liar :P

You'll have to re-enter manually when signups open, or that would be classed as reserving a spot before signups open.

Entries aren't allowed yet Jaydee, this tournament hasn't made it to signups.

I'd like to hear MassimoV/Click's thoughts on that bit.

That... is something really obvious that I didn't consider. Yeah, that ban can be removed then. Not that we should have any entry level tournaments failing to get entries using the 50% entry poll.

I agree, but there's no way to tell if someone hasn't got enough entries or if they're lying about not having enough entries and just don't want to proceed :P

Okay. How about Signups and Videos being timed separately. Signups for both classes get a 3 Month limit - if this expires without moving forward, the tournament is cancelled and a 1 month ban is incurred, but there is no host score penalty. Videos have a separate timing, Minor League gets 2 months for videos and Major League gets 4, which is extendable in certain circumstances (eg massive, like BattleBots). Ban for these lapsing will be the same as before, 3 months and a host point.

I'll be entering my chained VS. Probably the most powerful VS in DSL...
...probably.
I doubt this somehow :P What are you chaining? I'm pretty sure it'd need about 4 Dual Perms to break a record :L
You have a point. Currenly its a 4-mag chained to a perm 132. I'll probably upgrade that.
Just use a dual perm. Chaining can really slow down spin up time if I remember correctly, which is not what you want here.

Look at BattleBots 9 after all, that is absolutely motoring along and is one of, if not the, largest tournament ever hosted. Gaz's points are exactly what I'm trying to say. Interest is kept and more tournaments are run. Win-win, I think :D

I'll be all over this. Anybody want to team up with Pyrexia 2.1?

Pyrexia 2.1 Same bot, I just made a series of fairly small changes that have drastically effected performance. Longer side skirts, the motor is much nearer the chassis. Stability is massively improved from the bot seen in Centripetal Force... thank goodness...

If you did just 1 video a day for 10 months, that's what, 300 videos? Seems a bit much to me.

Well, as has been suggested before, we could start timing tournaments from when signups end. I'd be tempted to drop Entry Level tournaments down to 2 months in this case and maybe Major to 4?
