True, plus at Airbourne put on a good show, whether they're any good or not.

I was thinking about foam wheels, so it's good to get some confirmation there.

Whether you're into them or not Prodigy will put on an incredible show. Plus, only the other 2 headliners? Deftones man. Deftones. For me both festivals this year are predictable and kinda boring.

Sonisphere has a lovely layout too, preferable to DL from what I've heard.

If I have any weight left over I may look at the viability of some structure to help keep the wheels on the ground but we'll see how it goes.
Wheel-wise, I haven't actually looked into it yet, not entirely sure what the UK guys tend to use.

You're going to have a bad time if you're trying to do this using the transmitter and receiver from a toy. Ants are cheap but there's always costs to starting up.

I crosschecked all my components with Tweedy and Haz so I'm pretty sure everything's alright.

Yeah I don't have a team name so deal with that thread title.
Making all the threads everywhere now my beetle is getting a little more serious.

Initial Sketchup Model (Thanks Tweedy :D)

Current component layout - missing mixer, wheels and forks. Lots of wire shortening to do.

Current Cardboard Mockup (cardboard bots revival 2014)

Will be invertible. Front plate 3mm steel, baseplate/top plate/sloped sides 4mm hdpe, then the rest of the chassis 'box' inside the side skirts (back and sides) will be 10mm hdpe.

Razer's been done so many times, and although I'd like to see your take, I'd prefer something a bit different - eg Run Away :)

...Or better Warhead but that's a different story :P

Rammstein are the most incredible live band and most people would agree :L

With 2 day tickets wouldn't it be just as expensive to buy a full weekend ticket? Anyway this year is pretty mediocre. If I had money I'd be doing Sonisphere despite having seen Metallica and Maiden before. Deftones, Prodigy etc make that a nice lookin' lineup to me. But I don't think anything will ever top Soni 2011 for me. Dat Saturday with Biffy and Weezer mmmmm.

Never been to Download. Had tickets for 2010 but my Mum had an operation just a week before it so we couldn't go - sold the tickets and went to Sonisphere instead, and went to Soni again in 2011 (as did Madman3 I believe :P)

As far as I'm aware personally, George still has it but he has retired from the robot combat community and is focusing on his current career.

there are no irl tournaments in the signups
you can check

That's because they fill so fast with the same bots each time.
There are 5 IRL tournaments in SBV, with 2 more moved to completed today. That's 7.
There's a total of 2 Stock tournaments in Signups and SBV, and a total of 3 DSL-S in Signups/SBV with Undisputed being the only Unrealistic DSL (No surprise, it's very unusual). So there's more IRL recently than everything else combined. :P

Good luck if you want to do a round robin like that with 16 entries in 3 months - it's 120 matches for a 16-way round robin.
