Starting to get the hang of these things and my lightweight is almost done... :)
eFFe/Snapper Load is AMAZING, and you can save a lot of weight with it.
Plus, if you attach a spin motor onto a burst motor or a servo, it spins MUCH faster than it does normally for some reason.
This is what I was getting at with my Demented Shovel robot. The HP drive let it spin faster, as they are mounted off that Snapper II

I'm PRETTY SURE you have enough weight left over to give it DSA.

Go to Start and in the search box type ....well since 7 is so damn smart and wants to finish your sentence for you...(Like my X wife).....you will have to type 1 letter at a time till you see all the robot design folders......I got to robo. It will show the location, and if one is ANYWHERE besides your game folder, then that is where the stupid bitch....er OS is putting it. Your BEST bet is to MOVE your entire Infrogrames folder BY HAND to your Program Files folder, so it will act right.
Nice to see ACAMS hired Underdogthe janitor to help out the RA2 forums. Also, I think the reason WHY RA2 installed itself in Program Files(x86), because it saw the one with the "(x86)" first(you know how file names are), and just assumed that's the correct place to install the game at. Regardless, RA2 works no matter which of the Program Files folder you install it in, right?

Naa, fool. This is an SRS bot. I'll make a jokebot soon.
Piston Spinners only "explode", if your using the piston arms themselves for the weapons. I simply suggested putting the HP on the piston, just to give it some extra range.

Lightweights are an interesting build, and are a good challenge. eFFe/Snapper Loading glitches are your friend.
Dammit, I havent mastered that glitch yet!
Sage has got a pretty good video on Snapper Loading. But all you really have to do is place a component on an extender mounted from the Snapper, and then fire the snapper, and click while it's still fired. The component will then be floating in space, and you can attach more components in the space where it would normally be. You can get some mad 6WD Setups with snapper loading. =]
That's effe'ing
I thought eFFeing's when you rotate a spin motor or servo.
Or fire a burst. Snapper loading is axle loading a spin motor on a burst motor until it glitches of the “burst armâ€[/size]
IMO, mounting a bunch of parts on an eFFe'ing connector(bad-joke) is easier then snapper loading.

Lemme check...
Approx. 1.5 rotations a second, apparently.
Make it a piston spinner. Just for laughs.

but the second one seems really fun to use but also fairly harmless for a heavy weight :)
I'm not even sure if the 2nd one can move, but seems like it would hit pretty hard for a SNS. If the TC cut back on some of the weight, and removed at least 2 of the 4 Batteries(you only really need 2 blacks for maximum power), he could fit more weapons on it.

And dont even get me started on how frustrating it was to stack them batteries, I've accidently done it in the past but trying to actually do it was a complete mick take... This is why I usually just build the bot to hold at least 2 Blacks/Red batteries. I can cut back on all the frustration of my inability to stack them. think il try a medium or lightweight bot, my light weights suck, good enough to beat the stock bots but after looking at the RA2 wiki of some of the lightweights on show my jaw just dropped in comparrison...

Tore my reply clean up Because it tastes better when I cut it up, cook it, and serve as a delicious meal. (Just faceplam now) And I know emergencys the best but if he flipped me instead of me smashing his flippers in the first hit it would take more than a couple takes before it looked impressive :)
EMERGENCY is actually very easy. Stubborn, but very easy. Being invertible is all you need to win agenst it. ....Or just have a strong enough weapon to take off most of its frontal weapons right away. Its fun.

I like feeling safe? :) Define "safe" in a game of combat machines, in which certain types of bots do better/worse agenst others. Dno really I always just look at my bots and think ahh that bits exposed! Real men fight with exposed wheels. ....Or just exposed ones that are harder to get at. Anyhow, just shot a video of it in action:
Nice opening hit there. Battle with EMERGENCY. Its the best robot in the Stock AI, yo.

Can I just get a small emblem with an exploding mudkipz?
I'm SO tempeted to make a .gif of that. But its 10:12 here, and I'm lazy/possibly half-asleep I'm having trouble finding a pic for my request.
Keep looking through google. Its bound to show up.

I like how were all discussing each-others "abilitys" to do things. Steady hands arent exactly "required" for art, just, it helps if your going for more detail. As art comes in all shapes and sizes, and ranges from nazi-detail to just plain sloppy. But who cares, art is art. Just have fun with it and create whats on your mind. Art only really needs to make seance to the creator, and just let the audience use there imagination to try and figure out what it is. Really, just have fun with it.
And TC, do you REALLY need those side-guards for your robot? The whole frontal spinner/rammer system pretty much does that already. As strong frontal weapons don't exactly need side defense. Like look at Rabid Pit Bull for example. Its entire front is a death trap. But the rest of it is vulnerable to everything els. Why build it that way? Because its awesome.
tl;dr: Your just too lazy to read all that.

20cm round extenders would be better than T connectors.
.....Somehow I missed that. I could fit moar spikes on it then :3

The bot in the OP is pretty good Methinks if you made the chassis smaller, which is possible, you could make that thing invertible. It would be interesting. Still nice skin mate, i really need to learn to do that
Photoshop.

I can't really recreate the sticker.
If it was a frontal shot of the robot, you could just copy+paste it.

I'm randomly showing what Demented Shovel looks like on the outside: Because the other day, I was messing around with the alpha channels, and appearently I figured out how to make a semi-transparent Texture Fill. I like how a generic rainbow gradiant with a semi-transparent alpha channel can give the bot's "skin" an oil-esquire appearence. Its awesome. (Oh, and I put a sticker of Moguryu on it. cuz its funny) It's a very fun build.
Especially when the weapons get stuck into the walls :P
Exactly. It spins all over the place.

Underweight. I've never actually built a trinity bot...
Yea, I know its underweight. But I never really tried building a Trinity Spinner before. .....And apparently its a really fun build.
