If we're going on how points have been awarded in the past, only Jaydee would get a 'Host Point' for this tournament as he's the one AIing and videoing, just to let you know.

Okay, if everyone could just chill out that would be awesome.
From what I can tell from a message Jaydee sent me, Tommy will be receiving the entries and checking they abide by the ruleset before moving them onto Jaydee who will be AIing and recording the matches. As I told them I have faith that anybody can run a tournament as long as the community wishes to be part of it and they will put the work in, so let's not bash the idea. If you're not interested, the option is there in the poll.

Which arena did Wham make like? I only know of his upgrades to the RW arena and the RWED arenas he started but never produced.
Major Tom!?!? Do I have to? :P
The RW arena upgrade is the one I was on about And Minor Tom, not Major :P it's Plazmic Inferno's featherweight and pride and joy. And Martymidget drove it in a battle. And he drove it into Tinyhurtz who cut up the battery. And then hit the ceiling when it got pushed onto the floor flipper. Marty isn't allowed to drive Minor Tom anymore.

If it's a new release it's polite to ask, I think, like I did with Wham's arena for RW2005. RR arena looks great, very accurate :) ...Now all we need is a Minor Tom replica to throw into the ceiling. Cough Marty Cough.

How are you 2 splitting the duties? Really for a tournament of this size I should only be giving out 1 'host score point', not 2.

Yeah I got that bit thanks, but why? A simple tournament like this only needs 1 person. You need to outline why Tommy has been bought on-board.
Also you can't really go taking up signup slots with random bot exchange bots. Signups slots are for the entries into the tournament.

Yeah, it may be worth noting, Elementos, that this has just over 2 weeks left.

Edit the updated rules into your first post rather than spreading them all over the place. You must have an accurate and full set of rules in your first post.
Also what the hell is a co-manager?

Yo, I'm starting another IRL DSL2 tournament in hopes it won't turn out like the last two. Arena will be the Battlebox. This will be a 24 robot tournament with unique brackets.
Brackets It will be four heats in Dutch Robot Wars style: That's three 1v1 battles, followed by a loser's melee, followed by two 1v1 semi finals and a 1v1 heat final; but here's the scoop. Instead of having a loser's melee, judges will vote back the coolest robot that was eliminated. After the heats are done, the grand final will be a four way rumble; after one bot is eliminated, the match will be stopped and that bot removed. Same thing will happen again in the 3-way, then the winner of the 1v1 will be crowned champion.
Rules - This tournament will be in DSL 2.1 - No flamethrowers - I will be AIing, but I have the right to ask you do do it yourself - BFE and re-skinning are allowed. - Nobody can be entered until a bot is received and accepted - The weight class will be Heavyweight - IRL STRONGLY ENFORCED. No exceptions, no weapon spam either. - The only glitch allowed is the small chassis glitch. - Arena hazards will be on - Bots must pass stability tests. I will never decline a robot due to this without notifying you of the problem to ensure it will be fair; however if anyone complains that a bot shouldn't have gotten past it, they are at risk for a disqualification. - Walkers and Shufflers will gain a 400kg weight bonus, but at least 200kg must be used on the movement system. - Matches are 3 minutes - No custom components - 1st havok, restart; 2nd havok, your bot is eliminated - No custom armour - No Trov Glitching, Hax Mode, or any other unrealistic glitches that enable an advantage. - Multibots are allowed, but you have to send another singular robot in case it makes it to the finals. - No titanium sheets attached directly to baseplate (Including half-sheets) - If a bot is out of control for 30 seconds it is eliminated (if a bot is just randomly bouncing around the arena, in counts as being out of control). - You have an unlimited amount of upgrades. This means you can send a new robot too, however this all has to happen before signups are closed. - M.O.E Motor & Judge Bursts are allowed (only two max per robot) - Interchangeable weaponry allowed - No beater spamming flippers
Modifications - Emergency flippers will have a 50% HP boost - Beater bars will be slightly nerfed - NPC Fasts will be raised 15 weight; keep this in mind when building your bot
Judging There will be four judges (including myself), plus reserves. Judges do not have to be entered in the tournament. Judges will mark on the following criteria: Damage /10 Aggression /5 Control /5 Hazard Damage /5 Non-hybrid flippers will get an additional 10 points in compensation for lack of damage.
Scores aren't split, meaning it is possible for each bot to get any amount of points.

I'm back again with my second tournament, No Holds Barred. I have ran a poll already to see if anyone wanted this and this was equally as popular as Father and Son 2, so I thought I would start with this was first.
What is this tournament about?
Up to UltraHeavyWeight, entrants have no restrictions, this includes all cheats and all of cheatbot2 (apart from hovercraft engine.) This is just a fun tournament and you shouldn't take it too seriously. Important notes:
-Make sure your bot is creative as well as an ultimate fighting machine. -DSL 2.1 Unrealistic -The arena being used will be Containment Cube (to make sure all but one robot will be destroyed in every match!) -Don't go too OTT with the glitches (in other words, don't make your robot invincible, because that's no fun but making it sturdy but can be destroyed is fine.) -16 entrants (may change depending on the speed of things) -1v1 matches -Matches have no time limit Building 'rules'
-Must show controlled movement in any way. -Walkers, shufflers, etc. allowed. They won't get a weight bonus as such but only half of their 'legs' will count towards their weight. -Multibots are not allowed. -All of cheatbot2 (apart from hovercraft engine) allowed. -Use of in-game and out-of-game glitches is fine. -No custom components. Side events
Grudge/Exhibition matches (I'll allow 4 people to arrange a match with any competitor they want after the main tourney is over.) Viewer's choice rumble (You vote for who should be in a 4-way rumble after the main tourney is over.) Remember to have fun with this tournament, guys.
I'm not entering myself because I can't build for anything.
You're entry will be denied if I think the criteria isn't met or the robot is just too bland/boring (i.e. nothing but beta hammers/judge gavels)

Rep is not a good prize at all. Rep isn't something you should expect to be given, and doesn't even matter, it's just a number. It's only given when thoroughly deserved. Also you absolutely CANNOT take entries at this point in the tournament. You've missed lots of rules and until they are finalized, approved and the topic is moved to signups you cannot take any entries. Please go and familiarize yourself with the tournament rules in the Tournament Management thread.

From G.K.'s rules of tournaments;
'Display Tournaments do not fall under the usual ‘tournament’ remit. These are tournaments which you have to put on entirely by yourself. You have to provide all of the bots, videos and cannot ask for help with them. They are not counted in your tournament hosting tallies and can be run at whatever rate suits you.'
So, does this mean I can't have anyone's bots now. I've been given permission to use them though. Another thing, replicas that are on the BotExchange, does that automatically give me permission to use them (I won't take credit for them. I'll say thanks to the builder and which robot they built in the description). I have had the plan for quite a while, so I'll release it now;
The current Display Tournament rules are pinned at the top of the Display Tournaments section. Read those instead.

Yeah I thought that gif would help somewhat rather than posting a load more pictures. It was really easy to make too, just basically recorded me rotating it with Gyazo Gif.

Yeah, honestly, I'm not 100% sure why you're showcasing these. Custom bots, unless they look amazing, are just haxxy. I'd recommend sharpening your skills in DSL or Stock.

That defeats the point of the replica surely? Replicating means recreating exactly, not recreating but boosting some bits.

You can still run with 7/8 remember Nary. I know times are hard for decent building but the death of this tournament along with the other standard tournament currently in trouble wouldn't help things :P
