BFE is full blown cheating. eFFe is just using what's given to you - like using a get out of jail card in Monopoly rather than waiting to roll dubs or paying the fine. As opposed to stealing all the money and properties because you can.

I can only see the top 2 attachments. Can you embed the pictures rather than attaching them? Just use the Image Uploader on the front page and it'll give you a code using IMG tags that you can paste into your message to show the picture.

It would feel way off in my opinion. Like I've always tried to say, IRL should about making real LOOKING stuff rather than combat-effective stuff that kinda fits in the guidelines. This said, I still like the Sportsman Stock idea.

Freeziez tries to make a successful tournament, take 3.
(Image removed from quote.)
The theme of this tournament is a Video Game Showdown. Each bot must be themed just like a video game (no limitation to how obscure/ridiculous of a game, as long as it is a real video game). People may have 2 bots of the same game, however, they must be different aspects of the game. If two bots are too similar, I will not ask you to rebuild, just re-theme.
YOU CANNOT PICK RA2 OR ANOTHER ROBOT BUILDING/FIGHTING GAME AS YOUR THEME.
Rules:
- Standard DSL MW - Reskinned DSL Tournament Arena (it's not too bad, I promise) - 3 minute matches - No NARmour (if this is still a thing) - 1 Havok restart, 2nd time eliminated - BFE, AAM, NCR, Thyrus glitches NOT allowed - No hax mode - Cannot use DSA - Bots with treads get a 60 kg weight cushion. - Judge bursts are not allowed - No multibots - No armor attached directly to the chassis of the robot - Cheatbot2 components are not allowed - Each bot must have at least 2 wheels
Bracket style:
The first stage of the tournament will be a 16-person round robin, split into 4 groups of four. The top 2 robots from each group will then move on to a double-elimination knockout round of 8. Any tiebreakers will be settled with a single 1-on-1 match. Grand final will be best of 3.
Feel free to discuss!
This is now a signups topic and the rules above may not change. As this is a Major League tournament, you have 1 year to complete.

Yes, I have returned with another tournament, but this time, this will be a tag-team style tournament this time around. I've also have read the suggestions you have given me and I will improve upon them.
RULES: -DSL 2.1 -IRL Style Building -Beetleweight Robots -32 Robots with 16 teams (This may change) -One team of two robots are required to enter -I'm willing to AI if you are not able to, but don't complain what I AI'd your bot -You cannot enter unless you have a partner, both bots of the team are received and accepted -You and your partner must also provide a team name (No dumb team names) -You cannot try to find loopholes in the rules -For winning the first Beetle Bashers, nicsan2009 will automatically be re-entered with I Dare You, but he needs a partner before re-entering. If he would like to update his entry, I can allow that.
BUILDING RULES: -Beetleweight bots only (125.1-175.0 kg) -You can only these use in game glitches: eFFe Glitching, Axle Loading and Snapper Loading -No AAM, Trov Glitch, NCR Glitch, etc. -You can BFE the chassis height, but no other methods of Out-of-game editing -Bots must show 2 wheels or more for controlled movement -No cheatbot2 parts, Custom parts, etc. -No scuttlers, crawlers or walkers -Multibots are banned -No unrealistic weapon sizes and quantities -Jokebots are not allowed -Bots that have dumb names will also be banned (Like "Bot with Spikes". I won't be too strict about this, but at least try to be serious.) -You can upgrade your robot or send a new one as much as you like until signups end
BATTLE RULES: -2 minute length matches -2 vs. 2 match format -Single Elimination Bracket -Reskinned BBEANS Tournament Arena V2 Hazards on -If a robot havoks once, the team with that bot will get a free restart, if it happens again, the team with that bot will be disqualified
Arena:
JUDGING: Since some people were complaining about this, I will now improve upon this.
-Judging will be based on the points received by the three judges -Battles will be judged on significant attacks and control of match -Battles will be judged on a spectrum of 45 points -I myself won't be a judge so I will need volunteers with two main judges and two backup judges -Only one judge from each team is allowed, but judges do not need to enter the main tournament
I will be entering with this:
My partner will be SKBT.
Any improvements or suggestions?

Let's get this show on the road!
Info Stock Middleweight 16 entries, 1 entry per person 4 rounds, 2 rounds on a reskinned clawtop arena, the other 2 in a reskinned battlebox arena (More on the setup later) Matches will be 3 minutes long Matches will be judged on Points I will not be entering since I suck at stock I can AI, but I would prefer if you did it
Rules Ai parts ARE allowed (So that means 140 cm extender, Blue Snapper, etc) NO Cheatbot2 parts are allowed NO Walkers/shufflers are allowed, each robot must have at least 2 wheels Multibots are not allowed. Hax mode, BFE, AAM, Thyrus glitch etc is NOT allowed NO havok restarts There will be a third place playoff option
Matches Setup In the first round, there will be 4 matches of four bots, 2 go out each match leaving 8 to go through to round three. Then the same will happen again, taking out 4. Leaving four robots in round three, then in round 3, there will be 2 rounds of 1v1, then that will leave 2 robots in the grand final. (Hope that makes it clearer) If not heres how it will look:
Round 1 Round 2 Round 3 & Grand Final (Round 4) Bot 1 Bot 2 2 bots Bot 3 Bot 4 2 winning bots from last round Bot 5 Bot 6 2 bots Bot 7 Bot 8 2 winning bots from last round 2 bots, 1v1 Bot 9 2 winning bots from last round Bot 10 Third place playoff: the two robots that lost round three 2 Bots Bot 11 Bot 12 2 winning bots from last round Bot 13 Bot 14 2 bots Bot 15 Bot 16
If you need more clarification (And you probably do since I can't really explain things) PM me
Feel free to discuss and give comments on how to improve this tournament

Hey as far as I'm concerned, HB is doing this for free, he can choose what goes in, it may be worth not harassing him ;p

You know there are 3 types of building - Stock, DSL and IRL. Unrealistic usually refers to the Stock style (anything through anything, stacking allowed etc). Standard/DSL-S/etc refers to DSL Standard, where it's not IRL realism but not unrealistic either (no spinners through batteries/wheels etc).

Is this stock-style unrealistic or unrealistic-as-in-not-IRL-but-Standard-instead?

You're still completely unnecessarily suggesting wiring a spinner to the drive - in a way that if the bot stops moving to attack, the weapon will stop too. I don't know if you've been through Philetbabe's AI Chart but I would recommend going through it to help improve your guide as this is currently what I'd recommend to anybody trying to learn how to AI.

What if the robot stops to attack because it's got to the opponent? The weapon will stop. What if the robot goes backwards? The spinner has to slow to a stop then reverse. That is absolutely not an option on something like my DSL-S VS's. Just don't wire it to a drive control because it's not drive.

It's okay, 1 thing that strikes me though - You can use Spinner for spinners, and your slide that talks about wiring the spinner to forward if it has a flipper? Omni can have both weapons independently (ie not wiring a disc to 'Forward'), hence why it's called Omni, and wiring the spinner to forward may really mess up a bots performance.

So what's up with the bungee cords on the arena, do you have something special planned or just a simple bounce script?
The actual arena does have them and from what I could notice they don't really bounce as such, but I could be wrong.

If you have to ask you're doing it wrong.
Can everything you've done be recreated in real life? If yes, yes, it's IRL.

I'm not putting this through until I know for sure I'm not gonna have too much of a busy week so I can take signups. Take this time to build and perfect your bots people :)
