^Have you consider replacing the 2 20 cm aluminum extender with either 90/90 Flipper Segment or Hex Plate (slave)?

you can always get the CFZ compiler from this website and De-compile Components.cfz to find all the txt files for the components

Thanks, while I manage to find all the txt file now, they don't have HP listed on them.

Anchor.txt
Angler1.txt
Angler3.txt
Awcopal.txt
universalT1.txt
universalY1.txt
UM_hinge.txt

Take T Connector for example
Quote

name = T Connector
preview = T_preview.bmp
dir = universalT
model = universalT1.gmf
type = extenders
base = Component
passthru = t_collision
styles = Default
description = Branch a connection point using this T-shaped connector.
attachsound = sounds\cmp_generic.wav
standard = 1
Sort = 3

I also look at the GMF file without much luck.

If u mean the multi extender, then yes

Okay thanks, makes me wonder what's the point of having that huge, heavy baseplate anchor.

base plate anchor is monted inside the chassis, making it have infinite hitpoints or something like that

Would that also give small mount infinite hp when connected directly to the chassis?  (since it only got 375 regularly)

Check the Text files.

I already tried, These are the parts where I either can't find the txt file or can't find the HP in the text file.

Metal hinges

T connector

Y connector

Angle connector

Omni connector

Baseplate Anchor

Copal Motor

Does anyone know the HP for them?

General Support / AMPs deficiency vs motor performace
« on: August 27, 2009, 09:54:52 PM »
Thanks, After some testing it seems that AMP doesn't matter at all when it comes to spin motor, while burst motor seems to be greatly affected.

After reading the forum for a while, I come across the issue with over-power/under-power.  However I am unable to find any solid numbers concerning this issue.

Does anyone have the exact formula for AMPs deficiency to motor performance?  I am guessing spin motor/burst motor doesn't use the same formula.

Battle piczz!!

Killed WIIDE load in 3 shots, havent tried other bots yet :3
But i guess itll be almost the same result for most of the battles?

Look pretty cool.  Turning this into a HW shouldn't be too hard.

Although, Does the front really get hit that much to justify double ram plate on top of a DSL bar?  Or are they there purely for cosmetics purposes?

Discussion / What do you use to control your bot?
« on: August 23, 2009, 03:40:42 AM »
I like having 2 sets of control, one for normal one for reverse.  I also like to paint the top/bottom with different color so I can tell which set of control to use right away.

E - forward
D - back
S - left
F - right
A - attack 1

(for reverse)
I - back
K - forward
J - right
L - left
; - attack 2

space - attack 3

General Support / Does AI support Front/Back Symmetry?

Hi, thanks for the help, so how do I find out what number is a particular component?

General Support / Does AI support Front/Back Symmetry?
« on: August 22, 2009, 02:43:48 PM »
I use DSL and the bots I made has mostly been front/back symmetric (https://gametechmods.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2349)

I was wondering if there are any way to program the AI so that instead of turning 180 degrees it would just recognize the back as the front and drive as such.

Also, what does 'weapon' on binding.py stands for?

Those are burst pistons right?

You are right, I just tried it.  It's no walker, more like a rocket, though somewhat uncontrollable.  Perhaps instead of huge motors maybe we can start making shell spinner with this broken physics (how piston moves you forward rather than back).  Although, may I ask why it is at an angle and not flat?

EDIT:  NM I see the lift is there to reduce fiction to the ground.  This mechanism could make some really good LW/MW since it beats all the low power engines + wheels (in both performance and speed).  While not very realistic, I must say it's a really good build

So how well does the walker move?
