At the same time, interviews and the likes weren't 80% of RW and Battlebots. The actual combat is secondary to this show in it's current format.
What interviews It's just lame drama about these annoying people I couldn't care less about. And I agree with thyrus in there is no way these robots wail on each other for 5 minutes doing nothing and then all of a sudden one just blows up in a shower of pyrotechnics. It's so fake and the commentators just ham it up to no end.

If you just put robots in the ring and had them fight without anything else there is NO WAY the show would be successful, this format is the best chance a show like this has.
Robot Wars Battlebots I'm not sure if it's scripted, but it sure as  is fake. I can't get over the painful stupid drama and the fights themselves are just dumb.

you forgot the part about disney buying a share in GTM and so if you reference anything from disney or arrange letters so that they are similar to a trademarked disney name you will be fined 50,000 dollars, banned and imprisoned for 4 years without the chance of parole and no bail.
