Resetti, Phoenix Wright, R.O.B and Oregon Trail are by far the best. Maybe I should've entered my PacMan or Pyramid Head, at least they're based on the games.

I restate, by comparable I don't mean 'the same'. It's not replicas, it's knowing a bot that has a similarly functioning weapon system. But seem as though it confuses most people for reasons I don't know I might remove it.

It was in the first post, but the files seem to have gone down from Rapidshare. Nary may need to re-upload it.

Yep, I'm gonna host another tournament while giving Beetle Bashers a break for a bit. This tournament will have three bots per entrant where the bots are named after a trio of some sort. It can be from a TV show, a game, book, phrase, Anything represented in a pair of three. I'll even let you make one up if you really need to.
RULES: - Stock LW - 16 Entrants - 3 Bots per entrant is required to enter - I'm willing to AI if you are not able to, but don't complain what I AI'd your bot - You cannot enter unless your bots are received and accepted. - You cannot try to find any loopholes in the rules
BUILDING RULES: - Lightweight Robots only (175.1 - 249.0 kg) - Bots must represent a trio of some sort (You can make one up if you really need to, but please be creative) - You cannot use BFE, AAM, Hax, txt file editing, etc. - AI parts are allowed, including the 140 cm extender - No cheatbot2 parts or custom components at all. - Bots must have two wheels and show controlled movement - Each robot must be a different type, hybrids count as their own type - Crawlers are banned - Multibots are allowed, but they must be the same bot and count as their own bot type - Jokebots, replicas, IRL style bots are not allowed - You can update your bot as much as you please until signups end
BATTLE RULES: - 1 vs 1 match format - 3 minute length matches - Best 2 out of 3 - Double Elimination Bracket - Combat Arena, hazards off (Possibly reskinned) - If one robot havoks once, costing the match that bot gets a free restart, If it happens again, that bot will be disqualified - When the Brackets are displayed, you have to PM me saying which of your bots start from first to last. If not then I will choose - Judging will determined by the damage points at the end of the match
My Entries/Example:
This will also be the concept splash.
Please let me know if I need to change anything here.

I'm sure it's fine, I just don't think it'd be so great when AIed as a clamp.

I have it set as open. It probably looks better closed but the grabbing isn't so great, so I have it set as a chomper :P

I'll try stuff out, but I imagine I'd have to use 60 degree flippermakers which I don't really want to do because of how they stick out. Other news, new top panel for dog. 10/10 better srimech, and cooler looking.

You don't have to find a comparable bot, you just have to know that type of weapon system was used on a real life bot - eg no beater walls on pistons. It goes hand-in-hand with the bots must not be more effective than they would be in real life rule.

Nah, he dropped them to me for testing and AI bots (some of these might be).

1) What's wrong with Ironforge? If you guys tell me I can think about changes. 2) What's wrong with having a comparable bot? It just means you can't have beater walls etc

Reviving this, but switching stuff around a lot - no more judging panel (I will be judging HEAVILY though), and switching to Ironforge HW IRL - bots MAY NOT be more effective than real life counterparts, and must have a comparable real life bot.

It shouldn't. I should've probably explained - it's the Red Pyramid (Pyramid Head) helmet from Silent Hill 2 (the game not the movie thx), with the Overkill blade representing it's Great Knife.

Less effort went into this but it's something I wanted to do. The Great Knife swings over the helmet.

I attempted a Pacman. It is ugly and won't be entered.

^ New members aren't exactly usually jumping into Stock or DSL-S - look at yourself, Chicken. This list existed in most people's minds already. As 09 was saying to me yesterday, not a lot of 36hs are entered in tournaments as almost a 'gentleman's agreement'.
