General Support / Component troubles: see through skins?« on: August 25, 2019, 01:42:53 PM »
Me again
I'm having trouble trying to make a part of a component see through. Here's what it looks like before changing anything: ![]() I copied the bmp and gmf, and changed it to a tga file and then edited the picture: ![]() Saved it in 32Bit: ![]() Then it loads like this in RA2: ![]() What am I not doing?? Saving it in 24Bit just loads it as white instead 265

Modifications / Re: Sonny Resetti AI Mod (In Beta)« on: August 22, 2019, 03:14:30 AM »Was just about to post about G-Force crashing the game - you beat me to it. Another thing I noticed is that in the DSL 3 K section, Kat 3 is listed twice.Kat 3 has different components in the two versions Whenever Nuts 2 is spinning around when it keeps getting counted out it doesn't move anywhere, how can this be fixed? That's how Resetti has AI'd Nuts 2 so probably not I'm fixing the other known bugs as we speak 273

Finally, update 3 is here! Containing all promised new robots, fixed old robots and a couple of bonus robots thrown in too
I've had to upload it through Mediafire but I'll try to do it again on the GTM downloads page This will be the last update for a while, at least until Resetti wants more of his work made public Enjoy! Download here: [removed link, new one will be up soon] EDIT: Been playing through this mod tonight and found the following bugs: Arena Killer drives backwards Bamm Bamm drives backwards G-Force crashes the game Mailer 2k doesn't drive properly Rohog drives backwards Objection's spike I'll fix these asap, and I'll put the finished mod link on the homepage when it's up 274

Aight lads
So I've resorted the DSL3 replicas that were included in the original release, I didn't realise how lazy I had been and most of the components hadn't been separated, they have now as well as all of the new replicas too (and some bonus robots too :P) The AI is almost sorted, just waiting on a couple of things from Resetti and it should be ready for release as soon as Series 6 ends. There are still some replicas that aren't in the mod, here's a list: Sorry it's taken so long to update this mod, see you all soon! 277
General Support / Re: Component troubles« on: August 16, 2019, 12:38:00 PM »I assume it maybe missing a txt.file as I think most components in the game won't work without a txt.fileThe problem is with the renaming the bitmap in the GMF file, nothing about the txt file 278

Starting a thread for anyone having trouble with components.
I know I've started a few help threads so why not have one big one for everyone to comment on. I'm having trouble trying to separate the car steering unit (attached below) I can't compile/decompile it, even copying the original textures and separating (renaming them then changing the gmf file) still crashes the game Any help?? 279
Modifications / Re: Sonny Resetti AI Mod (In Beta)« on: August 14, 2019, 02:48:19 PM »What was the problem with Tridentate? The .bot always worked for meThe bot worked, the drums didn't. Now time for a proper update: Sorry it's so long to finish this mod. This mod has been in early stages for quite some time, that's down to me as I've had other priorities and have a barely functioning laptop (seriously there were so many problems) but enough of that, I'm sorry for leaving this so late. Over the past couple of days I've managed to fix almost all the bots I have so it's almost time for another release. Some issues I've fixed: Fat Boy Tin is fixed Tridentate is fixed Shapeshifter is properly AI'd V-Max is properly AI'd Exterior tools are in a separate folder I've added some more arenas and components that have recently been released. The only thing stopping me now is that I need a few more replicas from Resetti. Once I have them, the next update should be out soon. I'm thinking it should be ready for the end of Series 6. Once again, thank you for being patient, a new release will be out soon 280
General Support / Epic Showdown won't work« on: August 13, 2019, 03:52:37 PM »
I downloaded the zip file for the Epic Showdown arena from the Beetle Bros website (links here:)
http://beetlebros.gametechmods.com/robotarena.htm http://beetlebros.gametechmods.com/files/epic.zip but I can't open the zip, my laptop is saying it's corrupted. So I read up more and found that it's hidden in the BBEANS AI, and I managed to find it. I've separated the files and copied it to the arenas file, however it's hidden in the game. How do I unhide it? Or, does anyone have a working copy? If you do please send it to me I've attached the files I separated below |
