Oh yea I need to finish that thing
*cough* when we rebirth ReStocked *cough* Its not a new design.. but uncommon. at the risk of sounding like a broken record Tribars get the same reach for about half the weight.. you could attach multiple ones with lower powered motors like Scrap Daddy's gut ripper design.

sure.. see the (1) next to your name on the first post. it indicates 1 update.. to what extent you update is up to you but you only get 1... I honestly don't know if we even have 64 active DSL builders, JB.
I know and except that but 58 said they would enter on the poll I think that we should just wait until 64... Or atleast 60 entries...
I have said this many times before, the longer sign ups go the harder it becomes for me to actually do this tournament..

Now I hope I don't regret unleashing this scourge upon the tournament scene...
nice work on the py though :P its just my inspiration to finish Backlash that much faster...

Without commenting on whether this is a good idea or not, there already arises an issue. If we elect 5 people every single year eventually everybody will be a member...
Sounds like another popularity contest to me, with the biggest effect being people bawwing about not being a part of it.
couldnt have said any of that better myself...

Why must they all be the "this pack, of DSL?" Why can't they just be bot packs, with no specific inspiration?
please point out what point it was said those inspired the packs.. cant find it? neither can I... its simply putting things into perspective by choosing something that achieved a similar goal for stock. Back on topic.. You found a nice picture for the backdrop.. fits the DSL menu's well... kinda looks like it belongs in the space arena mod though :P

yes and no..
you can only get map editor by installing the game but you dont need a serial code to use map editor, only to play the game (so your free to make as many maps as you like just cant play them or publish them :P)
I think thats right anyway..
the AI use worker rushes isnt map size.. its the insane difficultly tactics.. now it looks stupid when they fight other insane difficultly AI BUT try fighting them yourself and they will likely kill you off with workers unless you can micro as fast as them.. :P
and no I probably wont do a third one of these.. there is little demand or purpose.. I mean the guy who won this one didnt even know what was going on.

RA2 ignores the physics of wheel size
its only the grip mesh that matters.. that is why you have have wheels move your robot without touching the ground.

NarAI is a mod.. it is different to DSL in many ways, they just look similar...
you need to build in DSL 2.1

you robot crashes
upon looking int he bot file I dont have the following parts
awbatt (2).TXT hypnowheel (2).TXT extenders_tit (2).txt dslsawblade1 (2).txt
I assume these are just like the normal DSL parts ? if so I can BFE the correct part names.. if not you will need to resend
SB and Freeziez are in..

Thwartoise.
SwitchDirRam.py has been around for years which will swap directions IIRC the difference with Thwartoise was its ability to swap by what side have the most weapons not just when one side looses all..

*cue Nary raging at that list* :P
you make it sound like your partially running this tournament.. I may stretch sign ups a little longer but the issue is the longer it goes on the harder it is for me to get this done.. come February I will be really full on with work so I wanted to get all this phase/ splash/ brackets, etc out of the way before then...
Edit: MNB approved.

haha nice skinning job.. I never got around to finishing my Companion Cube robot
maybe rotate the Multi Extenders 90 degrees and have the drive on the side (back AP for the TWM motors) to improve turning
also maybe use skirt hinges for a lighter front extender setup.. if you wanted, that is..
