Sure, they make your robot heavier...
and decrease the likelihood of gyroing everywhere and generally improving stability. Since the first 4 don't count, it's worth using even just like 1 or 2.

Also good to see you, it's been too long :)

Factory Made is not actually legal in either DSL-S or IRL due to the disc and maces cutting through the motor belt.

Ah, I forget, the UK's 'Lad Culture' isn't quite worldwide.
Basically cider isn't manly, you have to drink beer or lager because cider/most spirits/etc are for women. Apparently.
But yeah I've had some French cider. If you get the locally brewed stuff it can be pretty good, as with most countries. A lot of supermarket sold stuff is awfulness sold to the masses purely for the alcoholic content (cough strongbow cough)

Eh, being from the English countryside I'm much more into a good cider than beer. The range of cider you can get is surprising, shame it's not as 'manly' :P

Yeah, I imagine it's going to be quite a while yet, but it'll be worth it, just be assured of that.

Got bored.

EDIT: Should probably add more.
Just the usual jumpscare game. Impressive for how it was coded, but eh, i'd rather have atmosphere and subtlety over jumpscares. Alien: Isolation does it right in my opinion, nice balances.

The first message does say 'Please don't ask when this will be completed' :P
These guys are doing it in their own time, in 2 senses - it's all in their free time, and when they choose to.
It'll be done when it's done, have faith, and you'll enjoy the outcome :)

you haven't edited or added any components is just the icing on the cake.

I see some sort of non-standard burst or something powering the axe?
I might actually try an Iron-Awe 2.1 replica because I think everyone's probably done one at this point.
That one looks pretty good though.

Taylor, read the thread title - if you have issues, I'd recommend posting a thread in Technical Support rather than posting in the thread that says 'do NOT post'.

The whole Vet thing is sort of under discussion right now anyway, so there could be changes in future.

Those stripes are gorgeous.

Have you learned the format of the components section in a .bot file? You need to know how they're laid out so you can find out
1) the component number of the item you want to attach to
2) the attachment point number on the item you want to attach to
3) the attachment point number of the item you want to attach
and you'll also have to work out the rotation on the component which goes from 0 to 2pi (6.28-ish)

I sectioned off 2 components so you can see how they're laid out.

The 'wheelguards' have been bfed to be a lot thinner than the game would allow in botlab, and i was also messing around with the top of the cut-in on the front, basically anything vertical on the top gets suddenly angled down near the motor belt. Most of what I've done recently has been me exercising a couple of different bfe things, attempting to improve skinning and flipper segment shells, really.

More attempts at trying new things. Not sure if fond of either.

Sorry for the dodgy edges in some places, BFE likes to throw the skin off a lot.

Screenshots won't upload if they're in the .bmp format.

A lot of people use paint.net and/or GIMP, both of which are free and very powerful programs, but take a while to learn.
Try that instead of making arenas - that is a WHOLE lot more difficult. Exporting the chassis template helps, if you're not doing that already. :)

Cleaned up a couple of double posts. In future, if nobody has replied and it's pretty soon after your last post, just edit your message into the old post with the 'edit' button :)

Saw half of an A Day To Remember show last night. Then someone jumped off the balcony and we all had to be evacuated. 10/10 thanks for the money waste.
