I do believe it was originally Shut Up, Badnik but if it seems more appropriate to put someone else's name in there, I think that makes sense.

Existing Games / Re: Robot Wars: Extreme Destruction« on: November 28, 2014, 03:52:29 AM »
The only thing the official games have on RW right now is the nice arenas, house bots and perfect replicas.
Our modding, building, physics, etc is all better than the RW games atrocities in most of those respects, plus we'll have all the RW stuff in the aforementioned mod. I think you're literally the only person I've ever met who prefers any of the official games to RA2 :P 2264

Yeah, it'll be the chassis messing you up. Hiding some inside the wheels will definitely help.

Marty's done a Dalek before, not sure if I could find it without really digging though. I like the way you've done the gun arm, and the Assault Dalek claw is pretty nice.

To beetle spinners, no. No way.
Snappy is using a 4mm shell with a 10mm internal box-wall, and I'm not sure how that'll fair really. 2272
Robots Showcase / Re: playzooki made a robot« on: November 24, 2014, 11:02:54 AM »
I reckon you could do it for less than that even. Maybe £50 tops, for motors/battery/speed controllers?

Jonzu knows full well the curse usually doesn't exist. It's just people making excuses not to do it. Is it not, Jonzu? :P

Also come to Portsmouth or Burgess Hill so you can see all our beautiful (vinyl bot) faces. Anyway, yeah, that bot looks 20x better than that thing in OP so nice work there Playzooki. Next, why not get some materials together and try and make your own professional looking case for it? Even just some cheap thin HDPE would do it, I imagine. You could probably factor in some better invertability and even a servo lifter if you wanted. 2277

Try keeping them fairly flat and only using the center point on the skirt hinge, this could improve your wedge.

Use a weaker spin motor? A servo would be completely pointless at the speed they use. Just use a burst if it gets to that, then it can be AIed with OmniMultiZone.
