Has this actually got robots don't drive backwards into walls and actually fight back?

Thinking ahead to GTM RW. Thinking of going with a flipper. I certainly build enough.

Efficiency isn't everything, that's all I'm going to say. In this case, it is.

Hang on, what? Why? Whose call is it whether a robot should be efficient or not?

I was looking for a sort of stabilising cage 'exoskeleton' look for the robot. The extenders are staying. Well, they don't need to stay.

Don't quite get what you mean by this. Of course they don't need to. I've just decided that they will.

I was under the impression that Naryar was saying my extender work was messy and unrealistic in the past, but having read his tutorial, I've realised he was talking about using space and weight efficiently. It's still messy.

Alright, this I will listen to. How? As far as I can tell it's all clean straight lines connected with flippermakers. Yes, the side stabilizers aren't that great, but Ro7 prevents me from doing much with them.

And then the other 8 years?

Oh.

Ok.

Fair enough.

It just doesn't seem like a smart idea trying to compete with GTM RW and BB7, that's all.  The interest in those seems to be preeeeetty high.

You can bash out a tournament pretty quickly though, right?

Signups and suchlike are quiet while we wait for Wham and Massimo to be ready, I think this would be popular if you got there first, to give people something while we wait.

You guys probably aren't going to believe this, but I'm actually 21. Yes, I realise I don't act like it. YOLO.

Stick a license plate to his ass and set him on fire and that'll be close enough

I'm getting flashbacks to how I lost my virginity...

If you were to show me that list without the numbers next to them, I would never have guessed Defiler Bot would be the seeded one....

The idea with using steel in this case was more to look like a rear stabilizer, wheel guard and suchlike that would take more of a beating. I mean, Superheavies take one heck of a beating. Using the toughest one while I had weight to spare seemed the logical choice.

...Yeah, I definitely need to make an proper extender work tutorial.

Then we can work out exactly where we're going wrong, instead of just being told we're doing it wrong...

Of course.

And a better view of the chassis build without the weapon.

I'll work it out closer to BB7.

Anyway, got bored, made a SHW, which I don't normally do. Only my 3rd ever, I think?

I think the best bet with crushers is to have a normal BSG, but have the crusher starting in the closed position. That way, when the crusher is fired, it raises and comes down on the other robot, staying there.

I might be wrong though.
