That axehead is gorgeous. Reminds me to get on my Ironforge game with axes.

Right, okay, but of a big question.
There is no DSL Robot Wars pack... as such.
DSL 2.1 has a bunch of Robot Wars replicas in it, or your other option is getting DSL 3 and applying Wham's unfinished Robot Wars 2013 mod to it. Either way, none are 'complete' Robot Wars versions.

If Craaig will let me do this, I can put up my secondary entry on the first page.

I would've preferred you put it up before signups opened if secondary signups were planned, but go for it.

Tried working on scaled down versions of the above 2 bots over the last 2 days. These are the results.

Vibetech - LW IRL Axe

Works pretty well, self rights perfectly - spent a lot of time making sure it did, actually.
Armour is only something like Alu 1 but with that beefy plow on the front...

And the considerably less exciting
Crasp Drone Mini - MW IRL VS

(I just wanted to factor in the more interesting chassis of the last few CD's into a MW)

Current beer of choice

Lacks the bitterness I find in a lot of British stuff.

So yeah, Robot Wars was kind of a disappointment and I'm sorry that happened. The flame just died I guess. However, I've decided I'm going to hold a quick tournament to try to rekindle the interest I had in tournaments.

RULES
DSL 2.1 Standard realism, though IRL bots are more than welcome
Beetleweight weight class (175.0 and below)
BFE, AAM and other glitches that make your robot unrealistic are not allowed.
Cheatbot2 is explicitly banned.
You cannot be entered until your robot is received and accepted
I will accept one update from you, and you cannot send a placeholder robot to reserve your spot.
One robot per person.

This tournament will be running a modified single elimination bracket (see below), with one battle per match to decide the winner.
Robots must show controlled movement.
No clusterbots.
Match-altering havoks (IE: Those that cause a robot to glitch OOTA, flip another robot, etc) will automatically kick the robot from the competition.
Arena will be the SMALL ARENA with HAZARDS OFF.

YOUR ROBOT MUST NOT BE ON THE BOT EXCHANGE PRIOR TO SIGNUPS. YOU MUST SEND ME A NEW ROBOT THAT HAS YET TO BE UPLOADED. The reason for this is that the robots I receive for this tournament will be competing in Beetleweight Bash Series 5 afterwards, and I already have every robot from the exchange. Sending me an old robot that's been renamed and re-uploaded is not okay but I'm not certain to enforce it, so we'll go by host's discretion. If it's too similar to a robot you already have on the exchange I have the right to reject it.

Bracket Rules:
The 24 entrants will be placed into 6 qualifier rumbles. The two longest-surviving robots advance to the next round, with 4 matches of 3 robots. The winners of these matches advance to the final rumble.

I will not be entering.

So yeah, what do yall think? Will you enter?

This is now a signups topic and the rules quoted above may not change.
You have 9 months to complete this tournament.

As it is his second tournament, he is actually allowed up to 32 entrants.

The pictures are so small in comparison to the huge amounts of empty space, plus it's actually overweight.

I've said no jokebots so no spamming would be acceptable. I've said before, you don't have to enter 4 necessarily.

You're completely missing my point. People will enter 4 not-great entries in an effort to have more chance of winning than someone who enters 1 great one.
You don't have to enter 4, and frankly that's kinda my problem with it.

Because your tournament had literally unlimited entries, AS.
infinite/18 = infinite
24/4 = 6 (or rather with the upped limit, 32/4=8)

As far as I'm concerned, 4 is just too many. It encourages people to spam entries to try to win, and is unfair on those who would rather spend a lot of time making 1 cool bot than 4 meh ones.

If that was non-BFEd, I 1) eat my hat and 2) subsequently throw up the hat, reform it, put it on my head, and take it off again for you. Nice work

His big brother says hi

Looks cool though. Not entirely sure about the change in axe material halfway along or the skin, but nice otherwise.

I get you. I did have a T connector there which actually looked just right, but pushed it over what would be legal in HFT4 (a regular HW version would have NPC Fasts and the T connector and more decoration).

In other news, something I've wanted to try for some time.
