You know what, if you're going to pull this crap on Badnik, then don't bother letting me in, next round.

I would like to withdraw from the tournament, this is disgraceful.

I've updated Hydro's car, but I'll wait for kill343gs for another week, since I want to run the first race this Sunday.

Right now I am adjusting the AI cars/drivers so we can have an entertaining season.

Very beautiful robot, I like the idea of interchangeable weaponry. I assume some "empty space" is for wiring and additional attachments.

I am working on making it user controllable

[moverightslow]SLOW[/moverightslow]

[moveright]NORMAL[/moveright]

[moverightfast]FAST[/moverightfast]

So, move-right-slow and move-slow (without dashes) works, but moverightfast doesn't. odd.

Yo~

I was thinking about puttin' sum images in mah sig, but I'm wondering if there's a way to control how fast we can move the "marquee".

OK then, here's my propositions to the axle wedge idea then (this is for lightweights only since there isn't a limit on type on heavier divisions):
1) Limit length to 80 cm, no limit on placement
2) No limits on length, but must be an "Upper" type wedge (only ends can touch the ground; cannot be parallel to ground).
3) No limits on length or placement, but can only have two at a time _and_ must be the only external wedge type
4) Get rid of the limits of placement and type, but only allow one external wedge type

Also ONLY burst motors for the LW class? I can't use DSL axle mounts? Because I have an idea on something I could use for something like this (from ARC) that uses axle wedges. Would this be legal?

I wanted to prevent everyone and their mom from using Mako-style wedges in place of the skirt hinge.

Is the ARC bot in question a lightweight as well?

I'm a total moralsfag but this is retarded to the maxx!!!
It's up to the parents to decide if it's the right thing for their kids, the government should not need to intervene.

Hi all,

I was shooting the breeze over MSN with NFX over the idea of an "original" (non-replica) IRL-Realistic-style tournament, with definitive, concrete rules to building.
The premise is a semi-casual, beginner-friendly tournament meant to ease rookie builders into RA2, while allowing more veteran builders to show the ropes and stretch their legs out with original but still obviously really realistic robot designs.

Keep in mind this is more a general rule set for all IRL-realistic tournaments rather than for just one specific tournament.

The rule set:
1. Event Type
1.0. We will use the DSL v2.1 mod for Robot Arena 2.
1.1. We will use the standard realistic rules set, plus the additional rules outlined in section 2.
1.2. Conditions for winning a match are as follows:
   - Knockout: Smash the control board of the other robot.
   - Submission: Pin a robot to immobilization, or damage it to the point where it will not move (but
   - Paralyzing: Take out all of the other robot's wheels. (Let's face it, it's over for them by the time this happens)
1.3. The format of fight is up to the discretion of the organizer.
1.4. We will use the Narmour be GONE!!! fix.
1.5. Due to the bullsh** points system in Robot Arena 2, matches that do not reach a conclusion should be decided by a panel of three judges.

2. Bot Construction
2.0. All bots must be constructed within the bot editor/builder in the game - bot file editing outside of the game is not allowed.
2.1. If you plan on using skinned components, they must be "standalone" (doesn't replace any files) and cannot be altered besides the texture/skin.
2.1.1. You must send your skinned components to the admin or post them with your bot.
2.2. All robots should have at least one battery.
2.3. Multi-bots are only allowed in groups of two, and only in non-rumble tournaments. It is up to the discretion of the organizer of the tournament whether or not to allow "multi-bots".
2.4. All robots must have a minimum of two wheels. There has to be at least one powered wheel.

IMPORTANT!!!!!!!: Additional IRL Realistic Rules
2.5. Besides the standard realistic rules (components can't intersect, no stacking, no glitches, etc.), the robot must obey the additional guidelines outlined below.
2.5.1. If you have externally attached motors, the weight of the motor cannot exceed double the weight of the extenders. (For instance, if your extender weight is 15 kg, you can slap on a TWM3R but not a Perm.)
2.5.1.!. This rule is excepted only if the motor is attached to the baseplate/chassis. However, the bot is still not excepted from section 2.5.2 of the regulations.
2.5.2. You can't put more than double the weight of a motor on a motor. (So, on a TWM3R, we cannot put more than 60 kg on it.)
2.5.2.!. I don't give a sh** if the motor is externally attached or not - this rule still applies.
2.5.3. No metal hinge wedges.
2.5.4. Wedges are defined as "lower" (touching the ground and/or placed on the lower part of a bot's chassis), and "upper" (placed on the top of a bot's chassis).
2.5.4.!. Irregardless of weight class, a robot may only employ one type of external wedge system. For example, if your bot has skirt hinge wedges, you can't use a burst motor wedge to go with it. Again, this applies to ALL weight classes, and has no limit on length.
2.5.5. No "if we can cut a hole through it to make it work in real" BS, if a moving part intersects a still part, it ain't legal. (This means that pop-ups like Fast and Furious in NAR AI are not legal; however, Slashback in the original DSL 2.1 AI is perfectly legal since it isn't intersecting anything)

3. Havok Explosions
3.0. Should one robot have what is termed a "havok explosion", the other robots are allowed to have a free restart. Should it happen again, the robot will be removed and the match will restart without the havoking robot.

4. Misc. Regulations
4.0. All competitors must have a good time.
4.1. All competitors may not bitch at the event administrator if the AI driver does a sucky job.
4.2. The event administration has any and all right to expand the bracket if there is enough demand.
4.3. Trash talking must remain as civilised as possible.
4.4. All competitors must agree to the regulations.
4.5. All competitors must have a good time.
4.6. All competitors must have a good time.

Truthfully from what I've seen using the bot, it already spins way too fast with two ants - I don't think three will be any better for anything but extra longevity.

I only need two Ants, truthfully, by the time it runs low on power it'll already be dead anyways. lol

Probably a computer compatibility issue, I guess.

Anyway, I have NFX's and Hydro's car fixed, just haven't had time to post them up yet.

It would be nice to see detailed overall standings/results, rather than just a list.

The car viewer should be a plug and play affair. You just click on the "CarView.exe", go to "File/Open Direct X Mesh", then open the car of your choice.

You might want to try a piglet.

Weight is the smallest issue... I have a too small chassis to really fit three Ant batteries + control board.

needs 1 more ant battery.

Not sure where I can fit one more. Even if I could, then the bar would clip through the control board's location.

My Predictions:
Mr Heli: Good weapon, nothing more.

F*** you.

TP-3 Mr. Heli (EX-ver)

What is the first thing that comes into mind, when the name "Mister Heli" appears? If you said, "A cutesy helicopter", you'd probably be right. Unfortunately for some people, this specially rebuilt version of Mr. Heli is anything but cute. Armed with a massive steel bar, massive "egg-beaters", and four dual-sided teeth, the word "cute" is this robot's berserk button. All the power comes at a cost of stability though, and with something this small, Mr. Heli is more like a breakdancer than a helicopter.

NOTE: For those of you that think this breaks the realism rules, the bar does ***NOT*** clip the wheels.

Specifications
Power Source: 2 Ant Batteries
Drive: Two Astroflights driving two Ant wheels
Primary: TWM3R-powered Bar spinner with Beater Bars and Light DS teeth
Secondary: Flailing about
Maximum Hit: 200+
Armor: 1mm Titanium

Main Points
+ Spins super fast
+ Capable of super-high hits
- Super fragile
- Unstable
Competitive Index: Joke
