Gotcha Force Its an older Gamecube Game, of course, but you build your team of toy robots that do battle agenst the evil "Death Force"(which also consists of toy robots) in various scenarios where you fight to save the day. This game is fun as , and is loaded with all kinds of awesome characters who have there own unique abilitys. Your character selection consists of, but is not limited to: Dragons, ninjas, samurais, robots(even some transforming ones), giant spaceships, super heros, and all kinds of awesome. Your team combinations are limitless. Seriously, go play it. Its a fun game.

Haven't seen this kind of HS in ages. Great job.
I don't think this is gonna be your signature bot, though. You can find that our signature bots are on the heavier weight classes. Which is which is why Sage doesn't have any LWs nor MWs on his sig. :P
Yes, everyone has there own signature robot. ....Sometimes, people have the same. Other times, they don't.

I can't watch Celebrity Anything without thinking "Dear god, why don't they just <expletive> off?".
But they have yet to make a show called: "So you think you can out-dance a celebrity who is a great chef and is friends with Donald Trump, all while having a great voice?" ........ Truth is, that is arguably the greatest idea in the history of non-cartoon TV shows. QUICK! SOMEONE PITCH THIS IDEA TO NBC!

An ACAMS Bot ?
Its been done before :P
Aside from the fact I made one back on the old board, I have a better idea for one. ...... Though at the last minute, I might just build something different altogether.

Card Captor Sakura
(Image removed from quote.)
That show was badass and hilarious at the same time.
Indeed - the Fire Spirit (shown in that gif - should be easy enough to see which one it is) is my favourite character :D
The Time Card episode was pure lulz

Methinks its unstable because the whole bot is build off Snappers. Snappers USUALLY do that. Well, Snapper 2s really.
you mean snapperIIs
I always get them mixed up ;-;

Yay, anime. Watched the "bye bye butterfree" episode of pokemon the other day with a couple of mates. If you were part of the proper pokemon generation like me, you'll know what i'm talking about there.
When he traded it for a Ratatta on that Ship?
No, its the Episode where Butterfree find his "lover". Except Shiny Butterfree isnt pink. So it was probably a weird-ass foreshadowing of that episode with those pink berries. ........................... PINKIN' ISLAND, GUISE. THE HOME OF PINKIE PIE. *shot*

what are you making the Targa's with ?
I doubt its a problem with Photoshop, because every other custom edge Targa Ive made with it, turned out just fine. Of course, all of those used the same "required size", so I'm going my theory on RA2 only accepting Targas that are a set size.

J was playing this earlier, which explains why I felt it was necessary to make another topic on it. inb4Preytor4 So the cast is as follows: *can fly* Preytor's defense is low, but hes pretty agile and makes for an annoying opponent. Especially with those random parasites that he can throw. J's rating: 6/10 Congar is your all-around fighter. He does decent damage while also having nice defense and speed. Plus, his ranged special(giant rawr attack) sends everyone else flying. Plus, he has awesome costumes that make him look cybernetic and junk. J's rating: 5/10 Robo47 is a very retro looking military robot. his stats are rather average, but can deal some great damage with his homing-missile ranged attack. Oh, and I love his 4th costume, as it makes him look like a waking toaster. Plus, he attacks with a hammer, so I cant help but yell "HIKARI NI NARE!!1" whenever he does his airborne slam attack. J's rating: 7/10 Togera's stats are pretty meh, but I love the fact he shoots fire at you in a total Godzilla-esque manner. And I like the fact hes coovered in spikes, and actually uses them as swords and junk. Badass character, fun to play as, but not really one of the stronger ones. J's rating: 5/10 Ultra-V is my favorite. I'm a sucker for anime-mechs, and Ultra-V fits that profile perfectly. V is a little slow, but can deal a lot of damage. Especially because his ranged special grabs his target, pulls it point blank in front of you, and also stuns it. This makes for great combos, especially his Triangle+Up move, which is a kick attack that sends the target flying. Spamming this cheap-ass combo wins games. Oh, and his 4th costume is really badass. Plus, he wields a giant energy katana. J's rating: 9/10 Agamo is slow, but hes a heavy hitter. And I really like the possessed-idol concept to this character. Also, I like how he can throw giant versions of his own head at his opponent's, which can explode and do a lot of damage. Add to it, his 4th costume, which is apparently Mecha Sweet Tooth, makes him really badass looking. J's rating: 6/10 Magmo is one of the coolest characters in this game, mostly due to how incredible all his costumes are. 1st costume is his as-is, 2nd costume is a robotic version of his original form, 3rd costume he is literally a walking fireball, and the 4th costume is a steam-punk(yes, a steam-punk) version of Magmo. His stats are "fair", but hes slow, hits hard, and has an awesome ranged attack which consists of a bombardment of volcanic rocks. J's rating: 8/10 Zorgulon is weird. He has long range melee attacks, and shoots laser eyes at you. His stats are rather meh, but serves as an interesting character. Though he does have some decent speed, and that's about it. J's rating: 4/10 *can fly* Raptors is one of my favorite characters, mostly because his 4th costume is a skeletal version of himself. It just looks really hardcore. Raptors' defense is rather poor, but I guess that was on purpose considering hes a flying version of Togera. Yes, he even has the same flame-breath move as Togera. Raptors is pretty much your ranged-spammer who does a lot of damage from a distance, but is terrible when forced into hand-to-hand combat. All around, hes an interesting character. J's rating: 6/10 Kineticlops is literally the evil Emperor from Starwars. His stats are rather mediocre, but is one of those characters who comes with awesome costumes. Plus, I like the fact a few of his moves do electrical-damage(or something like that). Plus, hes agile, and makes for an interesting opponent. J's rating: 5/10 My only real complaints about this game are the fact the game tends to be a little unfair at times(like how the coms automatically get to all the HP before you do half the time), and Cerebulon the "final-boss", who is a complete cheap-ass and usually gives me a Game-Over at least once. Other then that, this game is fun, has incredible stages, and has a lot of awesome special-effects and junk. Discuss.

I dont know if you can.. just maps allow expanding in doubles so its worth the try.
The end result will probably appear the same on the robot no matter the size.
Well, I tried my idea, and the result is.... well..... rather disappointing: (in thise red circles, there are like small "smudges", where the edge should be) So either RA2 DOES have a build-in "thing" that only accepts targas that are like 24x24, or its something with the notepad file. ........ I'm stumped :/

Yeah, but Nary, we've already established that I'm talentless :)
Nobody is talentless in RA2, as each member has his/her own methoss for creating robots. Just, some members are more serious then others at this game, and as a result, end up building stronger ones. And over time(at different speeds, of course), everyone does get good at this game. Scourge, you just need to find a bot style(HS, rammer, pop-up, etc) you like, then try and build the best version of that you think is good. And of course, GTM will go over the same "Rate/Fix" process, give you ideas on how to improve it, etc, etc, and there you go, you have your own awesome robot. ....Also, nobody is required to post bots to justify being on this thread. Everyone just posts bots on a casual basis

Thx and a question: when i tried to put the edges on with a skin, it does not appear. Why???
Edge files have to be Targas with Alpha Channels, a preview image, and a noteppad file, in order to appear. All of which, are very easy to edit. Oh, and that RA1+RA2-mashup for a skin is badas

you can try 50x50, etc
I know maps work as 256x256, 512x512, etc ,etc
Oh so you CAN go beyond that small box? Well, this makes custom-edges a lot more awesome for me. ....Though I do have 1 more question: If you make an edge larger, does it appear shrunken on the bot?

« on: May 06, 2011, 10:48:10 PM »
Fire off, I was unsure of this section for this sort of thing, but ehhh... ....Anyway You know how all those Targa files for the edges are in like the same 25x25px box? Do the edges REALLY need to be that small? No seriously, here's an exact copy-paste of the bloody-drips file: Filename: bloody_drips.tga Preview: bloody_preview.bmp Length ratio (world pixels per file pixel): .02 Width (world pixels): 24 The length and width on this file are how big it appears on the robot. It doesn't mention anything about the file size. So would RA2 actually except a Targa file that is larger then the norm? (Because I have an incredible idea for an edge if RA2 would work this way) So yea, do all the Targa images need to be that small in order for RA2 to load them?
