I see the legs. But, they look like they're just uselessly floating around inside the chassis. Please, tell me how this walks xD

Heres the Vid of it walking.
Totally forgot about AI'ing it, oh well. I'm glad i build one though.

Works quite well, and Echidna looks cool.
I'd be worried about axes and stuff but not a lot you can do there if you want the invertibility.

Oh look it's the VS Marty thought the above one was.



Very similar to the early prototypes of the above bot except the lack of disc movement - it's all static.

If it's on an axle mount does it get any kind of agod issues?

Yes. :P Needs to be pause-loaded into botlab/matches.

That makes sense. The speed they give you is in megabits not megabytes. 1 Mb (megabit)  is 0.125 MB (megabytes)

Entire assembly is on an axle, Hyperactive-style.

So I want to run a tournament.  It'll probably be a disaster, but hey, you never know.

Game: DSL 2.1
Weightclass: MW
Realisticness: DSL-Standard
Arena: FlexTop, hazards off
16 entrants
1 v 1 matches - 3 minute limit
Single elimination
No cheatbot parts
No BFE, Hax, or whatever other crazy nonsense

I can do AIing, but feel free to send your own line if you prefer.
Bots can be updated one time after submitting them.
Havok explosions will result in a match reset.  Matches which end in a havok will only be shown if they are particularly amusing.

RULES*
- DSL 2.1 LW/MW/HW/SHW-with unlimited entries untill the close date
-One entry per person in each weightclass, so 1 LW, 1 MW, 1 HW, and 1 SHW per person
- Battlebox 3.0
- 3 minute matches
- Realistic Rule applies very strongly, IT MUST BE FOLLOWED.
- No NARmour
- 1 Havok restart, 2nd time eliminated
- No AAM, NCR glitch, or any other glitch that makes the bot unrealistic
- Trov Glitch is allowed, don't abuse it
- You are allowed to BFE as long as the bot stays realistic
- Robots must look as close to IRL designs as possible. (No unrealistic weapon sizes, disproportionate designs.)
- No Crawlers
- Bots with treads get a 60 kg weight cushion.
- It is recomended that your bot(s) have a sponsor decal, but it's not necessary (these can be a help if you're lazy):

- Judge bursts are allowed, but one Judge Burst per bot for LW and MW, two for the HW and SHW divisions.

- Joke bots must still be held to the IRL standards
- No armor attached directly to the chassis of the robot
- LW walkers/shufflers can weigh up to 425 kgs, but at least 175 kgs must be used on the walker or shuffler system itself.
- MW walkers/shufflers can weigh up to 800 kgs, but at least 400 kgs must be used on the walker or shuffler system itself.
- HW walkers/shufflers can weigh up to 1200 kgs, but at least 400 kgs must be used on the walker or shuffler system itself.
- SHW walkers/shufflers can weigh up to 1600 kgs, but at least 400 kgs must be used on the walker or shuffler system itself.
- Cheatbot2 components that are allowed:

WEDGE RULES:
-I will make the final call on the wedges if they are realistic or not. If I don't think they're realistic, I'll notify you and you may send an update.

JUDGING
- Fights will be judged on significant attacks and control of match.
- Fights will be judged on a spectrum of 45 points.
- Judges will be SKBT and RedAce (090901 and Mr. AwesumSauce will be subs if they're both still up for it) (May change)

CHAMPIONS
- Moros, Dr. Demolition, Oizys 2, and Des Devious will automatically be re-entered for winning the last tournamnet
- If MikeNCR, Scrapyard24c, or Scrap Daddy want to enter something else they can send me a new bot
- If they also just want to send an update, that option is also open

*Removed no DSA rule and no replicas rules. The rule about no weapons hitting the ground at the match start has just been changed to no crawlers. Also I'm going to have to votes before this gets to signups. The first one will be about the wedge rules and the other I'll talk more about later.

This tournament will be Stock AW, BW, LW, MW, and HW. Each class will have it's own tournament.
-Limit for AW is 125.0, BW is 175.0, LW is either 248.9-249.0, MW is 398.9-399.0, and HW is 800.0.
You can enter up 24 robots total. You can spread your entries evenly, or enter all of your bots in one division. No restrictions.
Double elimination, 1v1 best of one matches. The finals for each division will be best 3 of 5. Last bot standing is the winner.
The AW and BW divisions will take place in the Small Arena, the LW and MW competitions will take place in the RA2T#2 Tournament Arena, and the HW competition will take place in the DSL Tournament Arena. All will have hazards turned on, except for the small arena. Arenas will be reskinned.
Arena pictures:
No restrictions on bot quality. Come one come all, all skill levels will be accepted (but not all skill levels will win the tourney).

GENERAL RULES
-You know what "stock" means. No BFE, AAM, Hax Mode, cheatbot2, Thyrus Glitch, Text Editing, etc. Don't download anything like those stupid custom 1HKO lightsabers either.
-Reskinned components (stuff like black razors or green irons) don't count as custom "cheat" components as long as you don't touch the stats or edit the shape of the component. Please do not make any components transparent as that lags the game severely and makes match viewing unpleasant both on my end and on your end.
-Any and every non-cheatbot2 component included with the 1.4 version of stock is 100% legal, this includes the 140cm extenders, all AI parts, and the snapper II.
-Your bot must show some sort of controlled movement (I will be testing for this, but I am generally lenient about it). This includes crawlers, they must have some form of rear support so that it can drive forward.
-1 wheel drive robots will be allowed in the LW, MW and HW divisions only! AWs and BWs with less than two powered wheels will be rejected.
-Crawlers are allowed in all classes, but must have rear and/or front support to enable controlled movement (examples: long weapons on the front and back of your robot, 4 "wheel drive" crawlers such as Bumble Bee). If you can make an AW crawler work then by all means go ahead.
-Failing the controlled movement test will result in any infringing entries being rejected, you must replace your entry with something more stable/controlled (this will not count as updating your team).
-Smartzones do not count as weight if it pushes your robot above the weight limit. I will be using custom smartzones that do not add any weight on your robot. You cannot, however, spam smartzones to act as a ballast. Ballasts in stock are laughable in most cases anyway.
-Once accepted, you are allowed to update/change your team ONCE and only ONCE. Updating a single bot counts as updating your team, so be careful!
-Of course, adding bots to your team, or replacing an invalid bot doesn't count as updating your team. If you explicitly say that you want a sent bot to replace another bot on your team, that IS a update and will be counted as such.
-Any obvious attempts to counteract or otherwise exploit a loophole in the rules will be automatically DQ'd (example: sending 24 of the same bot).
-Multibots are allowed, even though there is really no reason to build a AW, BW or LW multibot.
-Replicas, IRL bots, and intentionally poorly built bots clearly built below the builders skill level ("jokebots") will be accepted, given they follow the rules. You're still limited to 24 entries per person, so be aware.

HAVOK RULES:
-Occasional, minor havok is counted as controlled movement as long as it is not constant (i.e. you cannot turn without going airborne).
-If your bot is suspected of causing a game-altering havok (example: teleporting into the ground or out of the arena completely, havok flipping another robot into a vulnerable position, changing the outcome of the match), the match will be restarted once. If it happens again during the match, the offending bot will LOST THE MATCH IMMEDIATELY, no exceptions.

My entries will be:
Signups will run from when they open to when the splash/bracket/videos thread is made. A warning/last call will be made when the SBV thread is about to be made.

tl;dr It's kind of like Battlebots but not. The gigantic wall of text makes the tourney seem more complicated than it really is, if you just enter 24 stock robots and you should be fine.

This tournament won't be starting up for a while however, so hold onto your butts for now.

Alright.
LW - Oh god those supports, I'm sure you could improve those.
MW - super exposed motors on higher than an IRL LW are generally a no in my opinion but youknow
HW - It's alright, better than the rest. Wheels are exposed but not much you can do there
SHW - Generic sort of tribar-HS. Nothing special in my opinion

IRL or Standard?
If it's IRL you may want to add some axle support to the perm, I know the chassis cooould be seen as axle supporting but it would for sure look better with a flippermaker covering the axle or something :P
Also I'd totally downgrade the armour and upgrade the drive, I imagine that'll be pretty slow right now and some speedier drive would really work in it's favour considering what it is.
Looks nice otherwise, I love the eyes :P

I don't know if there's a way to scale down the damage done by flames but for other hazards you can scale back the damage scalar in the arena's .py file.
For example in the hazards on section of DSLRWarena.py you can find this bit

where the number after the hazard's material (metal) is the number you need to scale back. I'll do a bit of testing for flames and edit back here if I find anything but I don't think it's possible.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the kind words.

Thing is, I'm really not happy with Wasp. It's too fast and the weapon sucks (only got enough height for a Perm 80 in there) so I've been working on downsizing this to MW. Actually happier with the framework now, it's a little less messy and I angled it all down a notch so the flipper blade could get under things and still be in line with the frame.
