ololololo Shorten the CF extenders and replace them with something stronger.
Noooo. Decreasing the wheelbase means it may actually get hit by something. It's not like a poly extender stands a better chance against a VS, which is the only weight class that could actually fight this bot.

ololololololol
I'm going to love watching that thing get slowly disassembled. Surely Piglets mounted to the baseplate would save weight for stronger extenders?
It's unlikely to disassembled if I pair it with a good MW because nothing will get it hahahahahahah (unless you build a VS you monster) Yeah I'm bored

ok what
flails weren't allowed basically it just stays out of everything's way and is unlikely to be killed due to the height of it.

Top 100 list should include all the most FAMOUS bots, nothing more, nothing less. Badnik's list looks good so far... Maybe I could do my own version at some point, depends do I have time for that and can I be bothered...
That would probably just lead to bots from tournaments or notable AI pack bots appearing. There's tonnes of cool stuff lurking in showcases.

I'd honestly prefer the standard combat arena over the cube, it's just too risky IMO.

Damn you Urjy, that first match was going fantastically until your remains caused that hecka nasty havok. But yeah, I think that the starting position of Tripus relative to False Popup was a bit unfair as Tripus got hit instantly, while my bot gets pretty much ignored.

And now for the final. On paper in terms of bot types this looks good, as two wide SnS vs 2 fairly narrow popups is generally a landslide victory for the former, but False Popup looks threatening.
You do realize those are the guys who sent us to the losers bracket, right? :P
shush bro keep spirits high

Aww yeah, hilarious fight. And now for the final. On paper in terms of bot types this looks good, as two wide SnS vs 2 fairly narrow popups is generally a landslide victory for the former, but False Popup looks threatening.

Is it a MW or a HW?
I would have thought the NPCs and Technos, the perm weapons, and the heavy wedges would indicate a HW. Plus Tommy Gun was a HW. Looks good, but you probably want a stabilizer at the back with that drive. You may also want to use DSL Bars to instead of halfsheets for the wedge and have shorter wedges.

A year and a bit since my last post O:
Anyways, this...
(Image removed from quote.)
DSA. Like the first stock LW I've ever actually built. :L
With a smartzone its a MW though.. I'll ask GRW if he has the weightless smartzones :L
Whoa, I built a bot nearly identical to this for RIW4 :P. I'd try and position the caster on whichever side is most often hit by spinners, which is what I did for mine.

50 is the best number.
The only way to do this: bots that have revolutionized RA2 should be there, and bots that are the best of their kind should be there. DSL should not be included. Nothing against DSL, but it's NOT the 10 year anniversary of it, it's the 10 year anniversary of RA2 Stock.
By that logic, nothing with Snapper IIs or AI components can be on the list as those components weren't available at release.
And no popups because they didn't exist back then?
The logic there tries to look at bots that either are iconic to the history of Stock RA2, or helped shape the old Stock into what it is today, i.e. bots using AI parts, new bot types, etc. Aside from people building Stock versions of DSL bots, DSL hasn't really changed Stock over the years.
I'm actually fine with a top 10/25/50/100/whatever Stock + DSL bots though...and I haven't even touched DSL.
Nah, it's that normally you can't use AI components without exterior moderation. DSL is an exterior mod too. Popups can be made without the use of modification, so they're legit, unless they would use snapper IIs. At least with the "no DSL" logic anyways.

How so? And would it still be noticeable with MW/LW and probably a lack of SNS?
Depends. There were a few issues with hazards in Steel Warzone where bots get stuck near the walls without moving much if trying to advance on a bot (that's how I lost against NFX, methinks). I was using a sawbot, so chances are it can still occur here. I'd say the standard DSL arena is decent and has OOTA capability.

Totally entering. Even if that means building the worst LW ever seen.
My complete inability to stack control boards in Nifties means that title will probably go to my bot.

how about the cube arena click made? i havent seen it used in that many tournaments and it seems good
Actually, I disagree, it make a mess of bots' range values in the AI.
