The only AW sized arena's I have are my Mayhem Match area's for Backlash as they are built for sumo type matches.

But sorry to say I want to keep them "Backlash exclusive" to give people a reason to try/play Backlash

Infact.. im not even sure how I pulled off the CC Prize wheel :P resizing and skinning was one thing but that was a new GMF :S

You have to use Serges compiler though..

oops another change from those pics.. :P

the lip was stretched back a bit more so robots on the slope didnt get stuck when sliding back down.. (see in the above pic there is a small gap at the back of the lip, well thats filled in)

That was the reason I scrapped my lightweight pack.. all the micro robots havoked to death..

opps a few arena updates I forgot to show everyone 

(dont worry it doesn't dramatically change the arena.. only improves it)

You can see a small black rim around the outside.. basically just stops wedges and such going up and getting beached on the slope.. as that would make for some lame matches.

Also thanks to Mr Beetle who made the python all nice and tidy and also equip it with all the stuff it needs to have robots track the location of the walls...

Well sorry about the lack of anything happening.. I have been busy and also sidetracked with some other projects :P

Well the splash has been updated with the later updates that came after I took photos of everything..

And you might be able to expect some videos up sometime within the next 24 hours if all goes to plan (usually doesn't but hey lets all stay positive)

1. set the "base" in the text file to controlboard

2. I dont think chassis is an accepted base command with the game

3. De-compile RA2.cfz and open the file "Armour Definitions" to add extra armors

you cannot add any new materials though, only versions of Plastic, Alu, Tite and Steel (well you could name them different things but the game will only support those four textures)

For music its easy if your creative enough..

The game will always load the tracks for the UI in alphabetical order so just stick a blank track in the folder named "aaaaa" or the like and have it run for as long as you like..

Yeah no point making a criteria it would make it worse.

BOTM is pretty broken nowadays anyway.. people look into things to much, pick and choose who they think built robots, etc (we are all guilty of it) Should really just simply be the first robot that jumps out to you..

I actually think allowing discussions is somewhat to blame... Other members are swaying undecided voters with comments.

Also I think maybe splashes should go for the voting portion of the competitions (but still nice a pretty look on the home page) but they are deciding outcomes..

• if a splash is funny, etc that robot is getting votes..
• if the splash is poor someone could kill a good entry in seconds.
• Identification of builders.. people are developing styles which effects voting. (Sage and Myself are examples of Splash identifying and comments about intentionally voting against us.. which is bad if someone clones someones style too)

My offer still stands to produce a generic splash that everyone just inserts a a few robot pics into is open.. I have a few ideas about how to go about doing it..

Then the winner submits a candy-fied splash for the home page..

no idea how to, never tried to cheat the game before :P guess i start by downloading notepad++ (in progress).

It is the single easiest thing in the world to do :P

Open a bot file in notepad++ and right at the top is says "Class" (pretty self explanatory)

Next to it is has a number which is the same as the AI team folders

0 = LW
1 = MW
2 = HW

But it wont effect the weight or anything else at all..

- replace weight icons with new difficulty icons (E, M, H)  how? easy use a useless item with the needed weight to put that robot into that   weight/difficulty class.

Nooooo dont do that that will ruin robots as the drive wont be strong enough, etc

You would be better to BFE them into different weightclasses
