So this isn't about who will win but about who will fail a bit less ?

at least this was an entertaining trainwreck.

Everything I do is all about how interesting I can make my failure.  :thumbup

Predictions for Team Bad Habits.....

Psiren (LW) - Fodder. Will be outweaponed by many, and slammed around by the others. Too unstable. Round 1 defeat.

Grim (MW) - Depends on the draw. Probably a mid-level machine compared to some of the more 'nooby' and joke robots, but will be battered by some very good looking experience. (Looking at Biologic Assault, Chief Kamachi and a couple of others...)

Atomsmasher (HW) - If it can get up to speed quick enough, I think it'll be fine against most of the opposition. If a blow disrupts the spin and a quicker machine gets in before it can recover, I'm screwed though.

The Sting (SHW) - I'm crap at superheavies. Always end up spending too much weight on making it look pretty. There are HWs that would beat it. Would take a very lucky draw to get out of Round 1.

General Predictions:

LW - Bad Wedge Blues, obviously. I want to say Billet 5, but Bye just looked too strong last time around. Title defence.

MW - Chief Kamachi to also defend it's title. Not sure who could beat it out of that lot.

HW - Highlander III, Contender and Arsonist will all be up there. Hurricane might prove to be a dark horse again, with some luck. I want to say Highlander III.

SHW - Don't know much about superheavies, but Badnik's ridiculous amount of beaters seemed to do the trick in Helloface's tournament, so I'll hazard a guess on Whirlytronic.

Premature Awards For Looking Badass:

LW - Jupiter 2 and resPAwn2 get honorable mentions, but come on, Stormageddon 2 is just boss.

MW - Taur 2 looks great. So does Biologic Assault. My favourite is the classic though. Arise, Sir Lance-A-Frog!

HW - Ehhh. Standard seems a little lower here. My pick is Hephaestus for the originality. What are those wheels?

SHW - Orsimer Warrior and Super Komodo have sick skins, but gaffhexagonbladehblahblah makes up for the ridiculous name by looking sweeeeeeeeeeet.

Before 12 am. Unless you really want me to wait for Scrap.

It's been a month, bro.

Yeah, his 'bots would have been great to see, but if you miss the deadline, then you miss the deadline....

Fear my DSL-S skills.

due all respect but i don`t get why scrap got more time. the signups have been open for more than a month

Yeah, unless he can prove that his PC or laptop has been f***ed for an entire month, I don't see how this is anything more than shoddy time management.

Vulcan =   :thumbdown

Knockback =  :thumbup

Could be better with a decent skin though. All those scratches look messy.

Depends on size constraints. I used two in Cataclysm when I couldn't fit any others in and they were fine.
Slimbodies are basically the same size and are better.

Really? I thought they were crap?

LOL GUESS I WAS INFORMED WRONG.

Also, yuck piglet drives.
lol who cares its a replica

Also piglet drives aren't actually that bad on lightweights if you use a good wheel.
No it still bad since its slower than other motors for the same weight

You'd be lucky if that saw hit anything.

Oh, for sure. That's why it's getting rebuilt.

Messing around in DSL 3 again.

Came up with this, but it's too slow. Back to the drawing board to make it a MW. Probably aluminium extenders and smaller wedges.

I wouldn't concern yourself too much, S.H.I.E.L.D.

I expect the vast majority of 'interest' is just people taking the piss. Not sure why. If we posted like this in any of their challenge threads then we'd get fisted before you could even type the word 'mute'.

Tried to continue with the exoskeleton thing I had going on a couple of pages back and it kind of got away from me.

Vampyr, named for the front 'fangs' and titanium 'wings'.

Has a robot with piglets for drive ever won BOTM before? We are looking at a historic event. Also maybe a colossal failure.

Yes, the teeth are backwards, that was deliberate.  :laughing Thought it would give it a more streamlined look. Clearly I was wrong. I'll change it.
