the top and bottom disks are fine, but you may want to opt for a cleaner setup on the sides. the dsl disks behind the hammers at least are probably never going to be hit when it matters, and the hammers themselves may not see as much action as you want since they are not as far out as the spikes. I bet you can get a killer setup if you mess with it.
I assume there is a 10 sided normal disk under the DSL one on top?
also, use large batteries if you possibly can. I'd probably go 1 large and 1+ medium, it will last way longer than several mediums.
i personally think ironforge is closer to the ideal DSL than the current 2.1. keep going at it, us old DSL builders gotta stick together
the transparent panels grow on you too.
