Contests / Re: Vote BOTM Aug 2013« on: August 01, 2013, 07:13:12 AM »A hearty congratulations to every other t*** on the site who couldn't be assed to make an entry for the simplest BOTM in months. The last two have been 'aircraft/spaceship' and 'anything goes' in which a freaking AT-AT a massive Battlestar Galactica ship won. Before that was DSL3 beta, which people are still getting to grips with, and Stock UHW, and who the hell builds UHWs? With the sheer scope and potential for entries of any robot that exists in real life (not just combat robots, guys), you'd surely expect more than 2 f***ing entries. If I'd have known that nobody else would have bothered and that it would be me vs Resetti, the freaking replica master, I wouldn't have just pooped out an entry hoping it wouldn't get noticed, I'd have actually made an effort. No, now I just look crap. Cheers. 1847

Ah, good, the superheavies are up. Looking forward to seeing how The Sting gets on. Although I think it's too pretty to win anything.

Don't know if that's an optical illusion but if I'm fighting an MW sized heavyweight, there's no contest. My front spike strips are designed to specifically get under scoops and panel wedges, so if I flip him, I'll have my way with him. 1854

It's already a SHW. And this is just the rough prototype.

Dang, Massimo, if I could +Rep you, I would. The efficiency and quality of your Battlebots tournaments is fantastic. I leave for a few hours and you're already into the MW qualifiers.

Hey, Paranoia, would you like a team for your AI pack?
![]() Glitch In The System (LW) ![]() ![]() ![]() Sprocket (MW) ![]() ![]() ![]() Nexus (HW) ![]() ![]() ![]() The concept is basically a team similar to Random Violence Technologies, who made Mortis. Expensive, shiny, competitive robots.....who aren't actually that good, so you can rip on them as much as you like. ![]() If he wants a second team, I'll rebuild the demonnic-style team. 1860

Spawn Of Scutter is hardly an IRL popup, it's a poker. A rather powerful one.
Not bad though. The 'cosmetic skin' reminds me of a platypus though. |
