Loser's Bracket Round 1 has been uploaded but the brackets haven't been updated in case people still want to watch the Heats and find out their opponent if they lost.

Hey guess what, might be slow as hell, but I don't give up. :P
Most of these matches took 5-10 attempts to film because the game likes to crash mid-fight. Also why this has taken so long, kinda discouraging. That said, the heats are uploaded, and the brackets for the Semi-Finals and also the Loser's Bracket have been posted. 1785

It takes a long time to film even 1 fight, robots have to be checked, loaded in, everything prepared, then the fight, load out, clean up etc. Plus I imagine there will be rumbles and stuff.
I believe it took like 2 days to film an episode of RW? Someone more knowledgeable can correct me there. 1786

24 teams involved and I think 8 will be reserves. I know 1 or 2 or the UK teams are reserves.

I guess a "troll" just registered the trademark as well. :P Yep, all the work of trolls. And I'm also lying about the emails, of course, as I am known here as a serial liar. And it of course makes no commercial sense to make ra3 now considering there maybe a big revival on the horizon. 1788

It's real.
There are emails floating around from the owner of Gabriel to others saying mysterious things which basically boil down to 'OH LOOK, THE WEBSITE HAS CHANGED INDEED!' 1790

I am pretty sure WD Encore or Gabriel probably saw a gap in the market occurring for RA3 because BattleBots is on it's way back and 1 contacted the other - Encore could've contacted Gabriel because they have experience with this stuff, or Gabriel could've contacted them saying 'Publish this, look, it's a cash-in opportunity'.
Either way, it's definitely real. 1791

Honestly awards in an IRL tournament are the gratification for building something nice looking which has little combat efficiency (thanks to those who've voted Nemesis as Best Engineered in the BBX awards :P means a lot)

But 2 months to get ready. I've looked at the BBX entries, no way did most of them take north of an hour to make. :P
I'm gonna completely rebuild Nemesis to see if I can get it a bit cooler, cleaner and maybe even stable... lol. 1793

I think Mike's just implying that the return of BattleBots has caused someone somewhere to think 'I know how we can cash in on this!'

It's pretty fun, you can check out our tournaments in the relevant section, all good fun, or the showcases where we show our latest designs and can ask for help improving said designs.
Generally if you need to know anything, a good place to start is the Complete Tutorial Index. Otherwise, welcome to GTM and I hope you stick around. :) 1795

No, GameSpy shut down some time ago I believe. You can do online battles through programs that simulate LAN connections like Hamachi or GameRanger but they're unbelievably laggy for anyone aside from the host, hence we run AI tournaments here where your designs are sent in, AIed (so the computer will drive/attack) and battled.

If you're still using Mzip, try something else. I just re-downloaded and extracted with 7zip and it worked fine.

You're missing a lot more than just the .exe, that looks more like an incomplete extraction or something - I wouldn't be confident sending the rest as I don't even know if you've got all the files in the other folders.
