And J? It's that I'd like to be seen in more of a positive light, really. Sure there is being a SHW, but that's quite meaningless if every other Tom, Dick and Harry has that same ranking. I'd like to be able to be seen as someone to be able to trust amongst the newer users, really- in the current state, it's like being lost in a crowd.
Since when to people on GTM judge eachother based on member titles? People only "notice" you based on what you can build and how well it goes over. Like how nothing of mine is ever that serious, but I always try and go for a clever design with a bit of humor thrown into it. You only gain "fame" if you bot wins a major tournament. And by "major tournament", I mean something like BOTM or a tournament hosted by Click, etc, etc.

Well I hadn't wanted to, but it looks like it's all I can do to get that AU title- I've been around here and contributing what I can twice as long as many AUs around here, and still no recognition for what I have done :/

Oh...right. I knew I'd heard the name somewhere. My apologies.
In regards to many other AUs however, my point does still stand. I mean, I've been around for so long, with good experience on both GTM and RA2. And what do I have to show for it? This signature, the post count, and the haircut.
Though if you think about it, most of the user titles are only being used by past members of that old RA2 forum, and not just for being part of GTM.
Yet, that only really seems to apply to the Mods and the Vets. We get plenty of new AUs- take GK and NFX for instance. They're comparatively new members, yet they're AUs.
I realise that they have achieved much more than I could ever hope to achieve one fifth of, they've only been around for a year or two, IIRC. I've been here and contributing wherever I can for at least three/four years. Thus if it's alright, a bit of recognition for that would be a nice thing to have.
It's the fact, that they've contributed more, not for how long they've been here.
I get the feeling ACAMS is staring at this conversation, and going:  No really, were only debating this because I became an Advanced User. Fox, why do you think Member Titles are that important? O,o

Sonny is right. Most of us GTM users "died" when the old RA2 site went down. Then we came back as zombies when GTM popped up. Of course, J is one of those zombies.

It depends on the server, and the people in it.
Generally Singaporean servers are the friendliest I have been in, although that also might be due to the fact that I have low latency. XD
Or, you know... Go into a Saxton Hale server and you get: Heavy -> Hoovy Bear Demoman -> Demopan Scout -> Scootaloo Engineer -> Fail-Engi(if he died right away while building stuff) or Aquaman(if he builds things underwater) Sniper -> Nobody is ever really Sniper Pyro -> Pyro Derp Spy -> Spycrab Medic doesn't have a nickname. Solider doesnt have one either. Oh, and half the time, nobody will kill you if your a Hoovy Bear or Spycrab. And the definition of a "Hoovy Bear", is a Heavy who crouches the entire time and doesn't fire at Saxton, and just eats sandviches/dalokos/meat with the other Hoovys.

From what I gather, you can't trade and/or find items if your a free-to-play user.
You have to buy 1 item from the shop, in order to "upgrade yourself to premium"
Oh yeah I just remembered that, I had it before it was F2P so I'm premium
Because how could Gaben TF2 survive without trading.
