Chances are dudes like Glock could pull great races with better cars.
Glock- am I the only one who is reminded of the Handguns with that name?
No :P

Damn Massa, not worthy of being in anything but a backmarker. IMO, Kimi was the best driver, but he was on the options at the wrong time.
What the hell bro, Massa is a great driver, or was. Guy's been on the down since he was told to move into second behind Alonso 2 years ago. He's still a good driver and he's got better lately.
I'd say Schuey, Perez and Kobayashi were the best drivers.
I'm still not happy that he ruined multiple races because he doesn't know where is front wing is. And you have to admit that he shouldn't be in a Ferrari.
Well, the font wing thing I can agree with, but as far as I'm concerned any guy should get a car as good as a Ferrari when they compete at this level. Chances are dudes like Glock could pull great races with better cars.

Casters are only slightly better than halfsheets, so are you comparing halfsheets to narmour? :P
That's a good point, actually. I do think that the use of halfsheets as armour in that way is rather unrealistic, so maybe that's a future rule to use.

The Fin in 3rd and Kobayashi in 4th today in F1. Good performance by Button at last too.

Steel extenders? O:

I see you didn't want to make it invincible by putting huge casters on the bottom :P
I like my realistic rule, thank you :P Casters are no better than narmour :P
Prett nice design. Are those the locking motors, though? The weapons'll just smack off the ground and break themselves if they're not. Why the razors on the underside and top, though?
Yes, they're locking motors.
Razors are only on the underside, and to provide some more underside armour (I tried a potters wheel but I didn't have the ground clearance) that does some damage to extenders.
Really cool. The tracks make it look awesome.
Thanks.

Another new bot.

Half de-weaponer, full on gutripper killer. Great at removing popup arms, clambering onto shell spinners and de-shelling them or outweaponing them, destroying exposed tops, removing extenders, and pinning long extenders on VS. Generally only has a hard time with wide SnS and rammers due to its low speed, as well a Cash Cow esk VS.

Perm 123s, 6 ants, plastic 5 (not that the chassis ever gets hit)

Good looking bot. Not entirely sure about the way you've mounted the razors but so long as it works it's fine.

Wedges seem a little steep which isn't good considering they're unarmored.
Otherwise it's cool.

That's a cool build right there. Wanna send another team for NAR AI ?

Looks okay, but FS are generally more effective when they're wider. It should make you harder to flank as well as better at trapping.

Well, excuse him for not building another generic FS.
Originality counts for nothing when there isn't any advancement made.
I believe you may remember me saying something similar in Scorpion's showcase. In this case, there is no visible improvement from the "generic design", which is only generic because it's the best, and when your originality detracts from a bots strengths then why even use it?

Found this at a thrift shop for $2.50 today. Yeah... That sucker is still factory sealed.
Awesome man, great game.

Sparkey was permabanned again. I don't think there's much hope for him left if he gets here ever again (and I shall be wary of him should he do such a thing), but there might.

Also nobody cares about offtopic in chatterbox. Well excepted for the rare good threads.
The only thing that's disliked in the chatterbox is bad ham. So yeah, never type all caps unless you're me or Nary, folks :P

WHO DARES LOCK THE MIGHTY NARYAR'S THREAD ? EAT JUSTICE FIST, LOCK !

Hear me, community ! The one who says that Naryar runs away or abandons a battle is a fool and a liar !

Besides, we have no host. I am currently designing my bot.

I hope my feeble opponent will be ready soon.

If Nary can meet the deadline, I think he will win.
The deadline has passed for more than a month, this is why it had been locked. I don't think mods should be allowed to "undisqualify" their own challenges, as this is breach of regulations and unfair to other users.
SO?
I RE-CHALLENGE NARY AGAIN ON THE EXACT SAME RULES USING THIS THREAD FOR CONVENIENCE SAKE.
DSL HW - Hazardless combat arena

Standard building rules, no BFE/AAM/Hax mode/etc, bots must display controlled movement, no crawlers or bots relying on a glitch to work, DSL realistic, etc etc.
GOGOGOGO

YOU ARE BUT A FOOL TO BELIEVE SUCH.

Really? I will up the stakes here.  If you win (and NOT due to Nary missing the deadline) I will change my avatar to anything that you wish.... even a MLP  *shudder* for exactly one month.
Don't worry bro, it was a joke.
The issue is that this will probably come down to whoever has the better wedge or a dramatic bot type advantage (like the last challenge we had).
I've got a bot ready.
