You should totally stop using Multi Extenders anywhere except on the baseplate, they're really weak when not on the baseplate. For the same weight you could use an Ali extender or even try fashioning supports using Flippermakers, every IRL builder's true love.
(Plus oh hi Shinigami, it's been too long :P)

Pretty much. I recall someone (Maybe Craig Danby, who pops up on here sometimes) saying how the Robogames arena uses 1 inch thick Polycarb on the lower panels and a half inch on the higher ones.

Apart from the arena, not a lot will be different CC. All bots with moving weapons already have safety locks built into them (usually bears through moving parts to stop them moving) so it's not as if that's a different thing either.

This is a complete Health + safety nightmare. If spinners are to be intorduced then, 1] the arena MUST be contained at ALL times REGARDLESS of type of fight. 2] the bots must be inspected at least by a member of staff who understands the sport. (preferable 3 people) 3] Make sure all competitors understand the risks of taking part. 4] at least 2-3 fire marshals on stand by during combat and 1 through out (incase any mini fires happen) 5] must have a first aider on site (though this can be 1 person) 6] Seating for spectators must be safe and have extra. 7] security is a must, we are dealing with robotics here, expensive equipment could go missing easily (providing lockers or a station to hand in bags would be useful) 8] if being filmed the camera crew MUST BE PROTECTED. last thing we want is debris flying at them. 9] an emergancy evac plan (fire exits etc). 10] parking spaces/ routes into the venue. 11]catering (be it self or provided[with an area with this specific function])
theres probably more to this then described but I imagine this is what would be considered Major Requirements show/competition.
Most of that already happens at shows. From memory, 1, 2, 3, 4 (pretty much), 5, 6, 9, 10, 11 all already happen (or should be happening).

'US style combat' we just call it full combat, we still have full combat in the feathers for the Championships :P

I really like the new Venum 2. Small thing, but those spikes on the end of the extenders just add so much to the appearance, very cool stuff dude.
Absolutely this. Nice work.

You know, I feel that this war between IRL and Standard will never end. I just feel you pick whatever side you want to build and go with it. It's easier than arguing which building style is better.
^ But as a quick thing, that lightweight VS is definitely not an IRL bot :P The others are all good though.

If I'm not mistaken, you should've opened a new topic under "General Support". Never heard of Virtual Box nonetheless.
The guys trying to install his game so he's not gone for wrong by posting here, although a new thread in this section would have been preferred. It would've been more wrongly placed in general support.

You can use stuff like VirtualBox I believe to create a virtual Windows environment to play it in.

You can tell it's a big design scaled down. Everything looks a little... small, especially the thickness of that disc support.

Oh I wasn't criticizing that song or the artists, just Eurovision in general. It's awesome that those guys got an opportunity frankly, as painfully generic as that song is. I remember reading about them before the competition somewhere. It does feel a little bit like they were just given that chance because of their disabilities though, like playing on that to try and win. I'm sure there's a lot more proficient punk bands in your country :P

A lot of members from the last few years haven't bothered to learn how to build Standard because it takes effort. (Sorry. :P)

Yeah, the game gives it armour by default. The armour it gives it, known as DSA (Double Strength Aluminium) is the toughest armour in Stock. However, when the armour values were raised in DSL, it's awful - giving it Alu 3 (I think) is actually the same weight as DSA and offers a lot more protection. Or you can gain more weight to use by picking a lower armour.

The Dual Mag drive .txt is in the regular DSL2.1 Styles folder but isn't actually referenced in the TWM components .txt or anything, so unless Nar AI or DSL 3 got mixed in there, Tommy added it to the game himself (and I'd say it's technically an illegal component seem as though it's not even in cheatbot2).
Bots cool though, don't get me wrong. :P
