Really for a tournament of this size I should only be giving out 1 'host score point', not 2.Not quite sure. I think what I should now do then is that if there isn't a clear winner, the winner is whoever wins on points then 1686

Tournament Archives / Re: Jaydee Wars (mini tourney)« on: June 27, 2014, 05:55:52 AM »Yeah I got that bit thanks, but why? A simple tournament like this only needs 1 person. You need to outline why Tommy has been bought on-board.Tommy asked me if he could so I said yes. 'Also you can't really go taking up signup slots with random bot exchange bots. Signups slots are for the entries into the tournament.' I won't if I get 16 different entries. 1688
Tournament Archives / Re: Jaydee Wars (mini tourney)« on: June 27, 2014, 05:37:05 AM »Co-manager? What? That doesn't seem like a good idea to me.Thank god you know what a co-manager is. What do you think the prize could be? This goes for everyone. Post your ideas. Edit the updated rules into your first post rather than spreading them all over the place. You must have an accurate and full set of rules in your first post.Ok, I will do this. Co-Manager, A SECOND MANAGER! 2 people running it now. 1689

Updated:
News; TommyProductionsInc is the co-manager (with rules and some other stuff) Right, Tournament method. 4 heats, 4 robots in each. 2 head to head matches. Winners go through to the heat final and the winner of that qualifies to the series final. The heat final has 2 head to head matches in which the winner's of that go through to the grand final and the winner of the grand final is the champion. Rep is not a good prize at all. Rep isn't something you should expect to be given, and doesn't even matter, it's just a number. It's only given when thoroughly deserved.Ok, so; Prize: IDK I'll open a pole now Don't worry jaydee. I'll make sure to downrep the winner of the tourneyNah, you're alright Heavyweight. DSL-Replicas only i'm assuming we are not allowed to skin our replicas, right?WHAT? WHAT? WHAT? Why wouldn't you be allowed to? Of course you can. It's a replica! 1690

Heat method
16 heats. 6 robots in each. 3 battle it out until two are still active. The matches are 3 minutes long. If all three are still active at the end, it goes to a judges decision. The Judge is me. So 4 remain in the heat. 2 head to head matches in which the same rules apply. The winners qualify to the heat final. The heat final is a head to head match and the winner goes through to the series semi final. Semi final method 8 robots in each semi final. 2 semi finals. 4 head to head matches and the winner's go to the next semi final stage. A further 2 head to head matches including the winner's of the previous stage. The winner's of that go through to the series final. Final method 4 robots and 2 head to head matches. Winner's will go through to the grand final. Loser's verse each other for third place. The winner of the grand final is the Jaydee Wars series 1 champion. 1691

From G.K.'s rules of tournaments;
'Display Tournaments do not fall under the usual ‘tournament’ remit. These are tournaments which you have to put on entirely by yourself. You have to provide all of the bots, videos and cannot ask for help with them. They are not counted in your tournament hosting tallies and can be run at whatever rate suits you.' So, does this mean I can't have anyone's bots now. I've been given permission to use them though. Another thing, replicas that are on the BotExchange, does that automatically give me permission to use them (I won't take credit for them. I'll say thanks to the builder and which robot they built in the description). I have had the plan for quite a while, so I'll release it now; 1692
Tournament Archives / Re: Jaydee Wars (mini tourney)« on: June 26, 2014, 04:16:01 PM »Popularity? You mean rep?Thanks. Also, yeah. I meant rep. Does it sound like a good prize? I have movie maker working and started series 1 off so when I have that finished and uploaded I'll do this. But I need contributions. One each. 1693

Custom Components Showcase / Re: Jaydee99's custom component Showcase« on: June 25, 2014, 07:02:51 AM »Yeah, honestly, I'm not 100% sure why you're showcasing these. Custom bots, unless they look amazing, are just haxxy. I'd recommend sharpening your skills in DSL or Stock.Ok, I take it on board. There was a time like last year in which I built robots non-stop but... I'll showcase them if you want but don't be too shocked at how bad they are. No offense but your bots are really REALLY ugly. At least make the skin look decent...Non taken, I tried to make the skin look decent but it does look quite bad. Also, i'm not familiar with the word haxxy. 1695

Custom Components Showcase / Re: Jaydee99's custom component Showcase« on: June 24, 2014, 02:23:31 PM »I'll try to.Its supposed to mean I'm confused with some of the designs, get your mind out of the gutter and I will not do that again, I don't want my rep down any further.Who cares about rep? Anyway, if I could engineer in real life, here's 4 I would build; ![]() So powerful I tell you. Tosses robots out with ease but after a while the disc gets too unstable and havocs. ![]() Right, the locomotion is tracks and is quite fast going forwards and backwards but is so slow turning. The flipper is quite powerful too. ![]() Haven't tried it against another robot but trust me, it's powerful! 4 flailing spike strips at a great rate of knots is powerful and doesn't turn the base at all when spinning, which is common with normal FBS's as it has happened quite a lot with me. ![]() Supposed to be a lightweight, it's pretty fast but has a slow flipper. How do you BFE the weight of a robot? I need to do it for this. Anyway, something I cobbled together and was tryingto replicate Thyrus' TerrorBrother, I accidentally called it the same thing ![]() ![]() Haha, loads of photos littered together! who doesn't love it???? Second question, Anyone mind if I release a pack with all my bots in once i'm happy? Of course I'll keep making bots and maybe release an updated pack or 2 or 3 or 4 or more, but it'll be released on this thread. Is that ok if I do that or not? is there a rule on not doing that? 1700
