Discussion / Re: Did something happen to 123AI?« on: June 18, 2015, 05:23:32 PM »
123 kinda deleted everything he ever did, hence 123AI can be a bit tough to track down. I guess it could be re-uploaded if anyone has it around.

I'm going to make a guess at a plugin which makes him look like you.
Either way if we could cut the swearing, that'd be cool. :P 1664
Ironforge TC Showcases / Re: Urjak's Ironforge Showcase?« on: June 18, 2015, 03:03:20 PM »
If I remember the conversations I had with 123 correctly, the Ironforge AI in most cases was designed in a way that bots could be effective in some capacity, but largely IRL and hence fairly easy. Intended to be new player friendly, if you get what I mean, like Stock, as opposed to DSLs relative challenge.
Bot looks real good though :) 1665

The guide has been added to the Tutorial Index, no need to sticky unless we stickied every other tutorial too :P
Very handy though, thanks Trov - looking forward to helping script some stuff with this. 1668
General Support / Re: How do you edit motor power through BFE?« on: June 17, 2015, 07:12:15 AM »
Yeah. It won't be tournament legal obviously but if you want to ramp the power up for your own use, that's how to do it. You could always make a copy of the component as a 'Style' so you have it in the drop down menu kinda thing, but for the sake of simplicity copying and editing the name/stats works well.

General Support / Re: How do you edit motor power through BFE?« on: June 17, 2015, 07:08:13 AM »
The power of a motor isn't in the bot file, you have to edit the component itself.
Find the .txt in Components (or Components/Styles for some) then use this guide https://gametechmods.com/forums/index.php?page=page1752 1670

Robo can put a hovering fridge or something on a trigger to drop when he presses a button. He's using the RW:ED arena floor image I think, I don't think it's massively necessary to move it seem as though it doesn't come into play in most of the match. 1672

I don't think any of us on GTM have actually seen Ian's robot but Jarvis may be able to confirm in some sense as he's seen the drive pods.

Does ABC have some kind of free online catchup service? If so it'd be pretty easy to watch on that via proxy.

Shapeways, but in future I'm going to be speaking to my Uni to see if I can do it there as I imagine it'll be a whole lot cheaper.

Definitely look into getting the drum/thing in a place where it'll be able to start hitting things effectively, you could make the chassis higher and have the back sorta wedged or something.
