The weapon does go through the motor so it is not IRL. I will no longer build IRL and you people can just deal with it.
This is of course fine, however you may wish to note that even the DSL-Standard building style does not allow components to cut through other components, so unless someone runs a pure Stock-style unrealistic tournament in DSL (very unlikely), your designs will never see tournament action, and if you showcase them, not many people will have any input (in terms of praise or suggestions) because Unrealistic DSL isn't something that people really do. In response to your thread title; Fraps. In response to your actual question; I don't know.

Let's play bait that the dev milked dry. The jumpscares make it perfect for scripted reactions from youtubers/streamers that get views from screaming a lot.
Does it count as milking if the sequels were actually wanted?
3 games in ~7 months? That's definitely the "release as many games as we can before people get bored" kind of mentality I'm getting here.
This is how I feel. I love Horror games, and there is a place for jumpscares, but these games... eh. No. Over-reliant on them, in the Slender vein.

As the finishing touches are taking a little longer than we had hoped, here's a couple of sneaky previews to tide you over. First off, here's the new model for Tough as Nails! Following that up, here's the robot that made one of our competition winners modify their entry's name - Mantis! And now, some arenas. First off, one of the coolest arenas I think I've seen in some time, this is the Roundhouse Arena, modelled by Knight! Finally, a perhaps more conventional arena, if that's how you prefer them - the League of Champs Arena!

They're both awesome things to look at in their own right, irrespective of their combat abilities.

Hah, there was (in fairness) no reason to do any internals. I really like the shape of the feather, not sure how well it'd translate to real life but it looks cool here.

We don't wish to post the whole range as we do plan further competitions along these lines and don't want to influence other entries, plus this means people can re-enter (or enter improved versions of) their designs with no consequence. Showing the finalists is a recognition of their awesome designs. Sorry if this is a decision that some don't agree with but it's what we agreed upon as a team. Once again, I thank all entrants for their huge range of cool designs :)

Just to clarify, rejected is the wrong word. Every machine was accepted into the competition, but of course only 1 FW and 2 HW can win. We looked for many factors. How effective the design would be in real life, how well it would translate to RA2, originality, descriptiveness (of the entry email or the picture itself), and plain coolness. Some of my favourites didn't get into the finals and that saddens me, but that's how it goes. (Shout outs to the builders of Ram and Slam and Dysector. Awesome ideas guys.)

These are only the ones who made it through a huge amount of narrowing down. There are around 40 different entries, but we had to narrow it down as much as possible before heading to a final vote.

We don't plan to create a gallery but I'd really like to thank everyone that put time and effort into their designs, especially those who went out of their way to create a whole new design for us, be it a hand drawing, RA2 creation or CAD. Every single one has been hugely appreciated, we've really enjoyed seeing every single different perspective on the challenge and I'm really happy we managed to get so many awesome entries <3

The mod team vote on them in secrecy. Nobody aside from myself knows who built what so it keeps it fair.
