If you wait 4 months for signups, you wouldn't finish the tournament because you never made the SBV. I'd say a month is reasonable.

The winners go in the robins,
The losers go in the double elim
We play out the robins.
2 Robins with 4 bots each,
2 bots win in each robin.
2 Loose,
So 4 Robin wins with 4 losers
The losers join the other 4 in the losers double elim bracket, They Fight that out,
Winner goes in the winners bracket that has the 4 robin winners. Making 5.
The community would vote of the other 3.

yeah but you can't just enforce some rules for some people and not for others. if he wants to run a sh**show why not let it happen? he's well within the precedent already set. if you pick and choose like this you're setting up a clearly biased system.
Oh yeah, just to clear this up since I overlooked this post, when I said that, I meant that "third time would not be the charm because the tournament won't go down very well", I didn't say it wouldn't be approved to go up to signups if everything were in order. I'm not that much of an unfair cock. Well, I'm not unfair at all, I'm just a tad bit of a cock.

I was actually following it, assuming that "the other 4 will join a Double elimination bracket" actually meant "the other 8 will join a Double elimination bracket", until you said this: The losers join the same double elimination bracket as the rumble losers.
The rumble losers went to a round robin. The only double elimination bracket I've heard of, from you, is the one which the winners of the initials rumbles go to. You may want to learn prose if you wish to clearly communicate your extraordinarily complicated bracket to us. OR, and this is a massive 'or' with a hint of wink wink, nudge nudge about it, you could have a simple bracket for your very first tournament so it doesn't get complicated for no reason other than you trying to overachieve. Also, I appreciate you may be a bit special, or however your parents put it, but please use that little bit of common sense you must have when tackling anything, not just on this forum but, in life. I'll be willing to be way more lenient towards you than any other person on this forum but, no matter who you are or what situation you may be in, there's always a line to cross. If you waste my time, Thrackerzod's time or Geice's time by doing whatever the **** in the Tournaments section without any intention of doing something genuinely fun or productive, one of us will just ban you hosting tournaments.

Let's try to approve and start tournaments with basic understanding of what's going on: "We have 3 bot rumbles" - As in, '3 rumbles of 4 robots' or '4 rumbles of 3 robots'? "the 2 winners join the robins" - It's generally assumed that only 1 person wins any given bot fight, so I think you skipped a moment in explanation in which you need to said something on the lines of "2 bot go through to the next round". This is because, it could be assumed from your explanation, so far, that there are 4 rumbles consisting of 3 robots and then the winners from those rumbles face each other single elimination style and the two winners proceed. That's just one example, tbh. Anything can be construed from your vague choice of words. "the loosers go in a double elim bracket they are joined by the robin loosers" - Extremely vague. What the **** are you on about? "the robin winneres join the final double elim bracket" - What final double elimination bracket? You never mentioned one. Also, you can't have 'winners' of a round robin, only 'a winner'. You need to clarify how many bots from each stage you will be accepting to proceed. "the winner of the last double elim bracket join this one" - What do you mean by 'this one'? What the **** are you on about? "As many as they want and even before fights" - What? Third time could be the charm.

I record using Fraps but the best free option is, probably, OBS, if you can fiddle the settings to get the best quality out of your recording as possible.
