^Obviously.

I really want to do something productive right now, but my give-a-crapometer is pointing to -7. There goes another half hour of my slowly dying vacation...
I'm making black metal atm :P

Alright, thanks for the advises on the bots. Advises... is that a word?

Anyway, I have been using other peoples showcase ideas to... well... steal ideas. To put it bluntly.

I might try building my own without copying.

Why does that look almost exactly like one of King Mushroom's Havok bots? Again, the similarities between you two are just uncanny...

Guess whose showcase I have open on the other screen when I made that bot...
If you're looking for good showcases, Marty, Ty, NFX, Me, Pwnator, Scrap Daddy, R0B0SH4RK, Badnik, Craaig, The Ounce, and (in particular) 123 Save The Whales have series of interesting bots in their showcases.

Forgot to add this one I made back in early July. This is probably the most accessible track but I messed up the guitar solo near the end (lost to much volume with my noise gate).

A little too drum-happy for my tastes... Sometimes it fit but other times it seems like you slapped a drum beat over a recording of some random guitar riff.

Maybe I'm being too critical, it's the bandgeek roaring out from inside me.

For the sake of Death Metal, this actually isn't that bad, just not in my taste. All things noted, I only downloaded Fluttershy's Shed.rar or whatever the file was called.
The first one I did was rather crap. The newer ones sound much better and are probably a bit easier to stomach.
The newest track sounds like Suffocation which isn't bad per say, but it almost sounds like you're blatantly ripping them off but with slightly less intense drum fills.

other than that it's ok
That's the issue with Brutal DM unless you're Gorgasm or Wormed:P I was actually aiming for a relatively simple song but I got a bit too comfortable with the first and last riffs.

Challenge Board / Re: Jonzu95 & Team9 vs Enigma & 090901
« on: August 09, 2012, 05:23:41 AM »
Jonzu, Enigma and 0909090909090......1 are all decent builders but I don't know about Team 9. Enigma and 090901 to win.

Made another track (the mix is a lot less muddy because I've learned to cut the low mids a bit since that's the area with a lot of junk; I've slightly increased the upper mids to keep the mids around, but in a sharper way). This one is more of a Brutal DM song akin to Abysmal Torment, Disgorge, Condemned, ect. I managed to get a nice bass-tapping bit in which you can hear 2 measures after the little break.

In light of all the Crusierweights being showcased, I have decided to repost my CW FSS for your consideration:

(Image removed from quote.)

(Image removed from quote.)

Heavy Cruiser (see what I did there? :P) is a CW FSS with an externally mounted (on the largest DSL disk) 6-mag powering a disk with 24 razors. The only thing I don''t like about is the only somewhat cubic chassis (at least I tried) which I will probably try to fix. It can take on many HWs in NAR AI.

Any comments would be appreciated. :D
Now even if I enter my TRFBD I'd be taken out at some stage :P
Very good.

Untested, downloading Nar.AI as we speak. Which bots have good wedges to test against?
Team Despair has a couple of good MWs to test against.

tite 1 and 4 ants

a 3wd snsns would be pretty hard to fit in the batteries and have it under the limit, i went with 2 eteks instead. shouldn't make much of a difference.
It's decent. What beaters are those, mediums or large?

it looks too small to me

I actually had trouble fitting it in the maxsphere with an older setup. Might try widening it a bit.

DP: Done

4 ants, plastic 3. Reasonably fast, reasonable damaging, fairly difficult to kill, needs more testing :P
