My only concern is that the dark floor/background will make the matches somewhat difficult to watch and follow. Otherwise, AWESUM :D
That was something I whipped up quickly.. I wil make a proper skin when I have a bit more time to dedicate The tile floor actually is white funny enough, its the electric overlay image that darkens the whole arena down (image is used as a floor lighting object) Awesome....wait, would the moving broken components be able to cause damage?
They will collide with opponents (not the robot they came from though) but wont cause damage..

and the fact nearly every robot is faster then formula 1 car..
Its hard to believe ED came after AoD.. cant imagine how bad a 3rd one would have been with that patten..

Why didnt you just use the Stock AI folder if you want only 15, 3 bot teams ?

Someone actually read this.
Far from the most advanced robot Its a neat idea but something like the Typhoon Twins is a similar result but better since it becomes multiple targets..

noes Sage wont see this D: Anyway here is the quick flyer arena I whipped up.. I call it the Blackhole Arena Basically.. its big.. with plenty of wall clearance so the fliers dont jam the weapons in the wall at the start Before you ask.. yes its enclosed.. let me draw in the collision lines for you.. Now for the fun part.. the entire cube collision is as frictionless as possible and bouncy Its not as bad as the wrestling arena with the bounce but it does help the weapons not jam in walls and also have the fliers make mid air contact with each other and if they hit the ground.. they bounce right up into the action again :P not just that but all the parts that break off bounce too.. so you have piles of bits and pieces flying around too.. and the pieces tend to bounce high enough to hit the roof and back too.. so they keep gaining more and more speed as they fly around

Im not going to be changing the arena mechanics mid tournament.. they are intended to just be breakable walls
Ill try adding some weight to them and a tiny bit of elasticity so the robots will hit it and stay in bounds and the wall will drop straight down (not everything fly outwards)
Should work if they are heavy enough.. its like throwing a robot at a non fixed piece of polycarb and a non fixed brick wall.. they would bounce off the wall but push the polycarb..

Which reminds me..
Since you guys all made robots that threw other robots at the walls harder then my test robot I am going to have a go at improving the walls (I have an idea how to do it) so there is actually a second chance if you hit them like it was intended.

LB draws are up
I made up a new system for filling the Losers bracket so there wasn't a pile of rematches in round 2 (which is what would have happened if I followed the bracket template)

It has nothing to do with the normals but the fact I uncovered that the AI spun SB's robot the wrong way which it was less stable. the line in the bindings was 'direction':1, when it should have been 'direction':-1, Match refilmed No dramatic changes in how the match plays out, though SnSnS performs a lot better with stability.. not getting itself stuck so frequently
A lot more nail biting action too..

ok here is the verdict
*SnS in the video was spinning the blades in the direction overkill uses them (thus the "sharp side") *SnS that SB sent spun the other way with the jiggered side hitting robots *The Overkill Text file listed the Normals as True 0 1 0 the True indicating it damages both ways (otherwise it would be False 0 1 0)
upon testing the damage is identical both ways BUT I have noticed the robot is less stable in impacts using the sharp side as the spin direction.. so that warrants a refilm (sorry scorps) since SB intened it to spin the other way (its just the number in the binding line that defines the spin direction, made the AI spin it the other way..)

Probably me being ignorant, but don't Overkill blades have one-sided normals? Why was SnSnS spinning the wrong way. It probably does damage on both sides, I'm just wondering.
Im pretty sure thats the spin direction it was given to me but will look at it.. I thought they were 2 sided on the Y axis
