General Support / Re: DSL 3 AI
« on: March 07, 2015, 02:21:33 PM »
Also, where can I find an AI tutorial so I can have a spinning disc bot have its weapon constantly rotating as the one I've AI'd seems to be constantly turning the disc on and off again.
One cause of that is AIing your bot with a switch instead of a button.

I do like the skin but the remnants of the white background of the shark is getting at my OCPD a little.

I had a lot of Robot Wars related stuff when I was a kid but I used to love this:

A lunch box which I never put lunch in:

I put these in instead:

I played with these along with a mini arena I had a bit too much as a kid.

I remember having Stinger one Christmas and bloody loving it. It was my favourite present that year and my parents gave it to me last because they knew I wouldn't open any others after it.

I'm loving the tournament so far. What's the instrumental in Heat B?

Did anyone else learn German in school? I was told that I was so good in my speaking that I would an excellent linguist! Yeah, right. Speaking assessments in languages are just memory tests, well, they were for me.

I swear you can get a student license free version... I'm not too sure, as I haven't bought PowerPoint in ages. Alright then, make sure you state in the ReadMe that the person reading must have OpenOffice (you can provide them with a link to a download as well, if you want) so they don't just disregard the presentation thinking it is broken.

May I ask why? I don't know much about OpenOffice but surely PowerPoint is a better option and it is probably the reason me and Craaig had overlapping screenshots and text floating off-screen. Also, anyone who wants to learn how to AI from this guide will most likely have PowerPoint and not OpenOffice and will encounter the same problems I did.

Before I give my corrections, may I ask what you have changed? To me, it just looks like you've gotten rid of the duplicate slide.

Not sure if I'll buy their upcoming album but the two songs they have released for it are pretty good imo.

Can I vote in the poll or do other people have to do that?
No one can tell, so why not? Ha ha. I don't do it but it's your choice.

Should I go ahead and set up the poll thing or... how does this work?
You can set up the poll whenever you want. You'll need half your full amount of entries worth of 'yes's to carry it over to signups (in your case, 8 'yes's.)

Innovation Award: cheese - How often do you see a wedge of cheese on wheels?

Picasso Award: cheese - Badnik obviously took a picture of real cheese and added it to his bot because I cannot find any cheese on google images that looks as good as his skin.

Scariest Award: cheese - Those 3 ramplates gave me nightmares, man.

Unluckiest Award: pomf =3 - Couldn't joke about this one. pomf =3 was really unlucky.

Perhaps you should focus on finishing Robot Wars Series 8 that you took over before starting other tournaments.
I'm not starting it immediately. I'm just leaving this here until it's done :).
