X-Terminator as well.I'm not crazy about arbitrarily limiting us to 16. I think it's great that you've compiled a list, but this is a creativity tournament and you want to do everything in your power to give creative freedoms. Maybe add a rule saying "If you have an idea that's not on the list PLEASE RUN IT BY ME BEFORE YOU START BUILDING. Link me to a video of the bot getting destroyed." I'll admit the limitation was a bad idea. I may scrap the list and just research the entries as they come to me.
That is neither Battlebots or Robot Wars, so nope. yeah, could i use battlebots bots instead of robot war bots as an entry? Of course. The only reason I didn't put up a Battlebots list is because I don't know much about it. I'll research the entry you wish to enter, but it should be fine. 1423

I've made a very quick list of 16 Robot Wars entries that would qualify. Controversially, I have decided to ALLOW Iron Awe. X-Terminator as well.
What I am tempted to do is keep it down to those and randomly allocate the 16 entrants one robot they have to build. Might be a bad idea, might be a challenge. Thoughts? 1425

Robot Wars examples would be the likes of Sir Chromalot, Robogeddon, Milly Ann Bug, Chaos 2....Splinter would NOT be an option as another model was made and entered Series 5. It must be the last appearance that it was destroyed.
Battlebots examples will need a bit more time to be researched, as I don't know much about them, but with only 16 entrants (my first tournament) it shouldn't be too hard to sort out. I can draw up a list if people want, and more informative rules. I'm game for pretty much everything related to Robot Wars. But I'm concerned about the lack of possibilities. I mean, the majority of possibilities are joke bots like Granny's Revenge. And quite a few of the most memorable destroyed bots (Splinter, Shapeshifter, Hammerhead, Iron Awe) weren't orphaned. If it was their last televised appearance, that's all that matters. Splinter, as said, would not qualify. Shapeshifter could be a free reign to build anything, as both machines were vastly different. I might make an exception and not allow Iron Awe though, they're onto 7 now..... I don't know if this could be considered stepping on Craaig's toes, but why not just do the same thing as him, only with the inclusion of Battlebots and HW instead of MW? The way things are going, I'm willing to bet I could get this through signups and SBV before Craaig even makes his SBV thread. ![]() I might take away some of the Robot Wars association by making it in the DSL Tournament arena though. 1431

Ok, this is probably a stupid idea, but I'm gonna post it anyway.
I was thinking of doing my own tournament because why the hell not, and decided to plan it out in a similar vein to Craaig's Robot Wars 2005 idea, by basically building a successor to a competing robot, but this time in either Robot Wars and/or Battlebots. However, your choices of robot to build is limited, in that the competing robot must have been completely trashed up and destroyed in their final appearance, hence the new entry is an 'Orphan'. ![]() RULES - DSL 2.1 -Heavyweight/HW (Up to 800.0kg) - IRL - WhamettNuht's Robot Wars 2013 AI Pack Arena - 3 minute matches - No NARmour - No AAM, NCR glitch, Trov Glitch, etc - You are allowed to BFE the chassis height, but no other BFE allowed. - You cannot be entered until a bot is received and accepted. - You may upgrade a robot any number of times until signups close. - I will AI your robot for you, if you don't know how. However, don't complain if I don't do it right, I only have basic AI skills. BATTLES - 16 Robots, in Robot Wars Series 3 format. Single Elimination - 8 1v1 fights in round 1, then 4 fights, etc. - 1 Havok restart, 2nd time eliminated - There will be grudge matche requests and possibly a rumble (time permitting) after the tournament. CHEATBOT2 Here is my entry, Son Of Robogeddon: ENTRIES 1 - Mazakari (Robogeddon) 2 - playzooki (Brutus Maximus) 3 - RedAce (Darkstar 2J) 4 - Badnik96 (Nightmare) 5 - RammingSpeed (Hammerhead 2) 6 - MassimoV (Killer Carrot 2) 7 - Sonny_Resetti (The Black Beast) 8 - sentro (Chaos 2) 9 - TBD Devastator (Stealth) 10 - akshaylan (Widow's Revenge) 11 - Craaig (Hippobotamus) 12 - Kurt Wylde (259) 13 - Camaro Kid (St. Agro) 14 - helloface199 (Shrike) 15 - drakemike22 (Short Circuit) 16 - Thyrus (Ceros) Green = Accepted & AI'd Orange = Accepted Red = u dun screwed up 1434
