Chatterbox / Re: DODGEBALL
« on: March 29, 2011, 08:54:02 PM »
I tried out for a dodgeball team last year.  (Nearby city has a small league)  I was soooooo exhausted afterwards.  Hated throwing the foam balls that would arc and go anywhere but straight when thrown hard.

Turns out the team was already full, so I didn't make the cut.  Was still fun though.

Every time I come home, someone is QQing about something. Its sad really, does your rep really mean anything?

Agreed. It doesn't mean anything. But to some people it is a form of acceptance. There seems to be quite a few members here that are dying for acceptance because they have low self esteem. Stemming from low acceptance IRL.

People need to learn that the best energy in life comes from knowing that the only person that truly needs to accept you is YOU.  Alas, some are too young to learn that life lesson. (yet)

My Soviet watch is dying... this makes me sad.

Now I gotta dig up a different watch and put a battery in it.  :P

It Wasn't your fault, Purse.

Listen guys, whenever my reputation goes more negative, I come more negative. This only affects at night so now I'm on normal mood.

That's all I can say. :frown:

Forgiven. Try to have more fun around here. I miss the happy Jonzu.

Also you'd probably be better off with single Mags for drive since the dual Mags are only weapon motors, not drive.  (It won't be much faster, it will just save some weight.)

I thought the same thing, but when I used single mags it was so slow it wouldn't even turn (mainly because 900 of the weight is on the front) Might have been a balance issue that could be solved with ballast even moar batteries!  I will tinker with it.  :D

Light some incence, sit on the floor and meditate.  Remind myself: "That which does not kill me only makes me stronger."
Oddly, all of those are what can artificially make me depressed : (

Fine then, extinguish some incence, stand on the ceiling and make a sh** ton of noise.  Remind yourself: "That which does not strong me only makes me kill."

Noooot exactly convincing.

Would make a good washing machine, though. :P

agreed. Though, the damage causing "soundwaves" are brilliant.

I think the drum needs to be deeper to be more replica like.  It would be kinda cool if the kick part was actually on a snapper and actually functioned during battle (even if it didn't do damage).  :D

For those of you getting your feet wet for the first time with SHW class. I would like to direct you to my favorite location to obtain an anti-ballast.

Contests / Re: BOTM Ideas and Discussion
« on: March 27, 2011, 04:17:31 PM »
When you go to a car show... some people will admire the engine, some will admire the exterior.  Admiration does not have to be the same amongst everyone, so why change the way BOTM is done?

People keep Bawwww-ing because they think that a combat effective bot should always win.  I disagree, I think that a work of art like 123's reindeer deserves props as well. (and apparently many people agreed)

I say, don't permanently change the rules of BOTM.  I think that every now and then ACAMs should insert rules into the monthly requirements like:

-Bot must be Combat-worthy
-Single color background splash only
-etc etc etc

Mix things up sure.  But please don't permanently change the format.  I think that function and form are both admirable traits to bot building and deserve equal respect.

Wait, what?  I'll grant you DSL crashing stock, but when I installed DSL for the first time, all my stock bots worked fine

Same here.

I was the anchorman for boat racing in college.

Though, our boat racing involved beer instead of water.

Congrats Enigma. With wedges your bot definitely had the upper hand.

Temi, however is still the best bot builder for his age on the forum.  No contest. Good work man!
