this looks real nice S32 I think im going to scrap my stock upgrade/components/ai (whatever you want to call it) pack for now

I think it would be really cool if somebody were to recreate all of the RA1 arenas.  Some of them were really cool.

does anyone know where I can get my mitts on a copy of RA1. demo or full version I don't really care which just want to see where RA2 began (and cant download it off most sites as im out of the territory allowed to download it)

this is my first BBEANS so I dont know much on how it is ran, does the losers bracket start after the winners bracket? or part way though?

also I just started watching some videos from round 2 and that is one powerful flipper for a stock bot Philetbabe I guess if my bot did beat Sandstorm it was guaranteed to loose via flip out

I know roboman has already posted up pics but I went though and downloaded DSL and screen captured the steps I took to get it

so here goes



Step 1

go to this link http://www.megaupload.com/?d=1LTTSSJ4

type in the characters in the top right corner and click "download file"

wait out the 50 seconds and then click "Regular Download"

when prompted select any place on your computer you want the download to go to

wait out the download



Step 2

make sure you have WinRar installed

if not http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm



Step 3

right click the file DSL 2.1.rar and select extract to DSL 2.1\



this will then pop up for a few mintues





Step 4

A file DSL 2.1 will appear right where you are



open it and you will find another file named DSL 2.1



finally open that folder and you will see the entire DSL 2.1 game



double click Robot Arena 2 and BINGO your playing DSL

that's probably true that inf wouldn't put up with any rubbish posts but the moderator would have to be able to put up with low quality posts, showcases and such from new members we don't want to scare people in to not coming here.

But if Inf thinks he is up to it by all means,

thanks for that link SSG my stock was periodically crashing in the bot lab for no reason, and my install was corrupted (dont ask me how) I had to use my starcore instead but I missed killing the original AI

no im running the Battlebots rules so the bots can be completely different

easy .gif animator is how I resized mine (below) it will open up animated .gifs and then up the top in the menu you can resize it to anything you want without quality loss (if your shrinking it) then you can go save as so you don't loose the original and it will still animate

there is a free trial on the internet that will let you do everything in the program with no restrictions except you can only open the program 20 times, unless of course you buy the full version

there was also an antweight flipper cluster but the name escapes me

anyway back on topic the rules for the multibot are on page 1 note the bots DONT have to be able to connect or anything like that.

the BattleBot rules state that a multibot is only knocked out if 50% by weight is immobilized

robot wars had one out, all out no matter how many you had

My RA2 used to crawl along as well and I found the issue was 2 many mods on the one copy, I had DSL the RW AI and the AceUplink all crammed onto the one
