I have always wanted an entirely realistic robot wars game so little pieces of bots go flying not the whole flipper or whatever it is on the bot, with all the robots from robot wars bots and you compete through the series, so you pick one of those robots from that series and fight your way through the format that was ran that series

example: for series 2 you pick like Cassius but for season 7 you play as Gravity

the house robots are more tactical and don't just go crazy when your near them, and after the matches the house robots take apart the other robots and put them under the drop zone etc

the issue with R1885's bot was that the axle wasn't in the chassis it was part of the blade that cut the chassis in 2

also SOW killed itself in that fight against Swirlee they amped up the weapon speed which resulted in way to much G-Force in those hammers

it will stand as 50% of the weight but I will make it so that both parts of the cluster must be the same weight class (in this case heavyweight) this should stop the thing Naryar was saying with a AW as bait

I think you will find that pistons + air = work

also the speed is most likely down due to saw blades getting next to no traction in stock

nice bot none the less

just try with DSL 2 first (using the link in my signature) and see how you go from there :-D

Edit: also if R1885s AI pack is giving you grief don't worry their is an actual problem that everyone is getting

get a clean version of RA2 (so nothing done to them) usually by install and make multiple copies of it after its installed rename them to things like Robot Arena 2, Robot Arena 2 DSL, Robot Arena 2 Starcore, etc

and copy and paste the whole pack to it (some packs require custom components so copying just the teams alone wouldn't allow it to work) and if prompted overwrite everything

and see how you go

also in my signature there is instructions with pictures that I wrote for DSL 2.1 :)

yeah I had a play around with the Bindings and also changed the music file to the default DSL music and still 3 computer restarts lol

Edit: team 23 is missing from the bindings and team 24 is listed as 23 also enforcers is spelt incorrect in the bindings

a few issues I found

first mine wont get past the infogames splash the whole computer will just freeze. (happened 3 times)

I had a look at the bindings and their is 2 team 22's

team 24 isn't in the bindings but it is in the team .txt

and the way you placed the music... I don't think it works quite like that

I suggest you replace the default DSL teams rather than making more, work on the music... test everything before submission and if you want some help with the UI I can make up a skin for you if you provide me with some pictures (ones that go with orange look best)

yeah R1885 I will allow a robot that can have the weapons axle inside the chassis as a means of connecting the 2 parts

another option would be having the wedges joined together and the motor could stay the same (except for perhaps the stacked perms)

hmm that is a good point maybe that should be enforced, battlebots did it 50% weight as the swarm has 3 bots but maybe I will make it 50% of the cluster (they do after all gain a huge advantage in qualifying) like robot wars

hmm well the duel perm says 309amps in the destription and in the .txt file for the duel perm it says

at the end of the year with rumbles or miniature brackets depending on the amount of winners of each type, sounds like a good idea, It would be a fairly easy one to host, you just need to know how to skin an arena (something like allstars HAS to have an awesome skin) and how to put AI bots in to RA2

welcome to GTM, a good way to learn is to start a showcase, some of the best RA2 builders around are on here will gladly give you pointers.as for comparing bots against others, look up in the tournaments section find one that you think you can join and enter it, most are done by ai so you only need to watch the results (didn't naryar do duels or something like that???)
